Kacey Musgraves parodies Trump’s AI-generated ‘Jesus’ image with Dolly Parton spin
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: Kacey Musgraves was the latest public figure to weigh in on President Donald Trump’s AI-generated Jesus image controversy. The singer-songwriter took to X (formerly Twitter) to mock Trump by sharing a parody version of the edited image.
The President first shared the AI meme on Truth Social, hours after he criticized Pope Leo XIV, calling him “weak” on crimes and “terrible” on foreign policies. The image seemingly depicted Trump as a Jesus-like figure, who appeared to heal a patient by placing a hand atop his forehead.
Trump deleted the post following an outrage on social media and claimed that the image aimed to portray him as “a doctor” instead. However, Musgraves used the opportunity to troll the President on social media by sharing a recreated version of the image.

Kacey Musgraves replaces Trump with Dolly Parton in recreated ‘Jesus’ image
The country star reimagined Trump’s AI-generated image by editing legendary singer and actress, Dolly Parton, as the Jesus-like figure in place of the President. She also inserted herself into the image, using her own picture in place of the patient. The photo was shared without any accompanying caption.
The edited image demonstrated Parton placing one hand over Musgraves’ forehead in a healing gesture and holding a beam of light in another. The image also showed a bright halo surrounding their heads and featured the American flag and Statue of Liberty in the background, similar to what could be seen on Trump’s version of the image.
Netizens divided over Kacey Musgraves’ post
While Musgraves seemingly shared the post in an attempt to take a dig at Trump, her gesture left the internet divided.
Some users found humor in the post, while others felt it was inappropriate. “This is the best thing I’ve ever seen with my eyes,” one fan wrote.
“This is a masterpiece,” another added.
“You get one ai pass queen,” a third commented.
However, critics soon called out the musician. “I love Kacey but this is disappointing. AI and blasphemy,” one commented.

Trump claims AI image aimed to depict him as a ‘doctor’
Amid widespread criticism of his post, Trump spoke to reporters outside West Wing and claimed that the AI-generated image attempted to portray him as a doctor and not as a Jesus Christ-like figure.
“I thought it was me as a doctor and had to do with Red Cross. It’s supposed to be me as a doctor making people better. And I do make people better,” the President said.
“Jesus?” he then asked, adding, “Only the fake news could come up with that one.”
