ATLANTA, GEORGIA: Vice President Kamala Harris was seen using a bizarre accent during a campaign rally in Atlanta where she was accompanied by Megan Thee Stallion and Quavo.

After months of her more subdued campaigning in the city as the vice presidential contender, the Atlanta audience greeted VP Harris with joy, as per the Guardian.

During the rally, she said in a rather different accent, "You all helped us win in 2020, and we will do it again in 2024." The accent sounded different from her usual one.

She also said during the rally, "As many of you know, before I was elected vice-president … I was an elected attorney general and an elected district attorney. Hear me when I say, I know Donald Trump’s type, and I have been dealing with people like him my entire career."

With hundreds of people waiting outside for a seat, Harris spoke to a gathering of 10,000 people that had filled the Georgia State Convocation Center.

She added, "As an attorney general, I held big Wall Street banks accountable for fraud. Donald Trump was found guilty of fraud. In this campaign, I will proudly put my record against his any day, including on the issue of immigration."

She further said, "He won't debate, but he and his running mate sure seem to have a lot to say about me. Well, Donald, I do hope you'll reconsider to meet me on the debate stage because, as the saying goes, if you got something to say, say it to my face."

Notably, Trump and Joe Biden were scheduled to debate on September 10 but the president stepped down from the 2024 race last week. He then endorsed VP Harris as his replacement.

Internet trolls Harris over bizarre accent at Atlanta rally

Many people on the internet trolled VP Harris as was seen using a 'fake Southern accent' during a Presidential rally in Atlanta. Many people ended up calling her 'fake'.

A user wrote on X, "She’s so fake. It doesn’t make any sense" while one added, "When they teach public speaking and say know your audience, they did not say imitate a stereotype of the audience."

A person also said, "Lmfao. How to speak American by Kamala Harris", whereas one mentioned, "You can still relate to people without putting on a fake accent."

A user commented, "She’s pretending to be black again", while one wrote, "She stole the fake black accent from Hillary."

A person said, "Kamala's got a new accent. I guess it's part of her campaign to win over everyone, including people who speak in a made-up Southern drawl. Not sure it's working, though", whereas one wrote, "Her pandering is brutal and disrespectful."
