WASHINGTON, DC: Kamala Harris addressed Republican Sarah Huckabee Sanders' comments regarding her lack of biological children during an interview on Alex Cooper's 'Call Her Daddy' podcast, published on Sunday, October 6.

The vice president dismissed the Arkansas governor's views as outdated while speaking about her "modern family," which includes her husband, Doug Emhoff, and his two children from a previous marriage, Cole Emhoff and Ella Emhoff.

During a town hall event in September, Sanders claimed that her three children keep her "humble" and that "unfortunately, Kamala Harris doesn’t have anything keeping her humble."

The Democratic nominee emphasized the importance of women supporting one another by saying, "And I think it's really important for women to lift each other up."

Harris also highlighted that family can take many forms, noting, "We have our family by blood, and then we have our family by love, and I have both, and I consider it to be a real blessing. And I have two beautiful children, Cole and Ella, who call me Momala. We have a very modern family. My husband's ex-wife is a friend of mine."

She further shared, "Also I'm a child of divorced parents and when I started dating Doug, my husband, I was very thoughtful and sensitive to making sure that until I knew that our relationship was something that was going to be real, I didn't want to form a relationship with the kids and then walk away from that relationship."

Kamala Harris calls out JD Vance's 'mean-spirited' childless cat ladies remarks

On the podcast, Kamala Harris also addressed her rival Donald Trump’s running mate JD Vance's comments about "childless cat ladies."

The vice president said, "I think it's really important not to let other people define you. And usually, those people who will attempt to do it don't know you," describing such remarks as "mean and mean-spirited."

She added, "And I think that most Americans want leaders who understand that the measure of their strength is not based on who you beat down, the real measure of the strength of a leader is based on who you lift up."

Harris' appearance on the podcast is part of a broader media strategy as she seeks to bolster her support ahead of the November election.

This week, she is scheduled to appear on several prominent shows, including '60 Minutes', The View', 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert', and 'The Howard Stern Show', amid ongoing scrutiny over her absence of media presence throughout her presidential campaign.
