WASHINGTON, DC: Kamala Harris lost all cool with a yelling protestor and told her sharply that it was the vice president's turn to speak at a Detroit Democratic fundraiser on June 8, the New York Post reports.

During the $200-priced Michigan Democratic Party Legacy Dinner, Harris addressed the war in Gaza hoping to calm the situation. Yet, it backfired and intensified the tension.

The crowd burst into a series of loud shouts during Harris' address, with one woman repeatedly shouting, 'It's genocide!' The speaker paused her speech to respond to the heckler's comments.

As security dragged the woman out of the room, Harris said, "For the past eight months, President Biden and I have been working every day to bring this conflict — I’m speaking right now. I value and respect your voice, but I’m speaking right now."

Adopting similar verbiage to that Biden has been using more often in recent weeks, she said, "It’s time for this war to end."

Even though Harris managed to keep going with her speech following these comments seemed to clam the crowd down, the event served as a significant wake-up call for the vice president.

Michigan is a significant base for Arab Americans, especially in and near Detroit. The state houses nearly 300,000 individuals with Palestinian roots and a right to vote in the US elections. For these individuals, the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Hamas is a tangible reality. Despite their US citizenship, they have relatives, friends, and parents who are part of the military.

Internet divided as Kamala Harris schools anti-Israel heckler

People on the internet remained divided and shared mixed reactions as Kamala Harris lost all tolerance with a yelling protestor during the Michigan Democratic Party Legacy Dinner.

A user wrote on X, "It seems as if she is easily triggered. Not a good look for someone in a position like hers" while one added, "Right on cue, Kamala stories will now become common and positive to enable the switch."

A person also stated, "We need more of this don't let them talk about anything without being heckled" whereas one mentioned, "Good for her. These pro-Hamas protestors are annoying."

Some online comments read "That's how she commands a room. Most will just talk over her. She serves no purpose in life" and "She’s so over her head in any government job."

Another comment stated, "Garbling yes speaking no. Word salad is not speaking coherently."
