OAKLAND COUNTY, MICHIGAN: Vice President Kamala Harris was ridiculed for her "word-salad" communication style after a political forum in Michigan where she joined Oprah Winfrey and other high-profile figures.

While the forum was designed to discuss pressing national issues, Harris’ responses garnered attention for their lengthy and circular nature.

Kamala Harris' empathy for struggling Americans

One of the key moments of the event occurred when a young couple from Pennsylvania spoke about the ongoing burden of living expenses remaining high.

Empathizing with their concerns, Harris acknowledged that this struggle was widespread across the nation.

"Yours is a story I hear around the country as I travel," said Harris.

"In terms of both rightly having the right to have aspirations and dreams and ambitions for your family and working hard and finding that the American dream is for this generation and recently far more elusive than it’s been," she added.

Reiterating her administration's focus on addressing inflation by promising to investigate potential price gouging by food producers, Harris also highlighted plans to offer tax credits for first-time homebuyers.

While the Democratic presidential candidate's initial remarks resonated with the audience, her response to the concerns was soon overshadowed by her lengthy elaborations.

Kamala Harris on unity and patriotism

Kamala Harris delivered a speech on unity and patriotism as the event drew to a close.

Standing alongside Oprah Winfrey, the vice president spoke passionately about the love Americans have for their country and urged citizens to come together in these divided times.

"We love our country. I love our country. I know we all do, that’s why everybody’s here right now," said Harris.

"We take pride in the privilege of being American and this is a moment where we can and must come together as Americans, understanding we have so much more in common than what separates us," she continued.

"Let's come together with the character that we're so proud about who we are, which is we are an optimistic people," she added, according to Daily Mail.

Internet mocks Kamala Harris' 'word salad' response

Kamala Harris' remarks quickly made waves on social media, particularly her communication style, to what many perceive it as “word salad” or unclear, overly elaborate rhetoric.

One user on X wrote, "Complete word salad. There was zero meaning in her whole spiel. Why is she here?" and another added, "What in the wordly hell did she just say in response to how is she gonna lower the cost of living..??? Im sorry, but if you honestly vote for this, you get what you deserve."

"After Kamala speaks for 47 seocnds, this couple still really love to know what her plan is to lower the cost of living," a netizen commented, while someone else remarked, "She is about as effective as a high school student with this question."

"Imagine listening to this for 4 years? God forbid," an individual penned, and another opined, "So many words. So little meaning."
