DANA POINT, CALIFORNIA: Vice President Kamala Harris seemingly called out Willkie Farr & Gallagher, the law firm that employs her husband Doug Emhoff, for signing a deal with President Donald Trump, TMZ reported on Friday, April 4.

In a long post on Truth Social, Trump announced the deal on Tuesday which includes the firm providing "at least $100 Million Dollars in pro bono Legal Services, during the Trump Administration, and beyond, to causes that President Trump and Willkie both support."

Wilkie's services would go toward assisting veterans, members of the military, Gold Star families, law enforcement and other public servants, combating antisemitism and more, while the firm itself would not practice any diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies.

According to CNN, Trump has targeted law firms for opposing his agenda with executive actions, which made a number of them, such as Willkie, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, cut a deal with him. Emhoff, who joined Willkie in January as a partner, has informed the firm’s leadership of his disagreement with their decision.

Kamala Harris' apparent jibe at Willkie Farr & Gallagher

Speaking at the Leading Women Defined Summit in Dana Point on Thursday, April 3, Kamala Harris referred to law firms cutting deals with the POTUS, which included her husband's firm as well, as she said, "There is a sense of fear that has been taking hold in our country. And I understand it. But we’re seeing people stay quiet."

"We are seeing organizations stay quiet," she continued. "We are seeing those who are capitulating to clearly unconstitutional threats. And these are the things we are witnessing. Each day in the last few months in our country. And it understandably creates a great sense of fear. Because you know there were many things we knew would happen," the former vice president added.
