LONDON, UK: On October 2, Wednesday, Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, helped a 16-year-old cancer patient fulfill a dream from her "photography bucket list", as reported by People.

The aspiring photographer, Liz Hatton, who is battling a rare and aggressive form of cancer, was invited to capture special moments during an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle, hosted by Prince William.

The event marked a touching moment for both Liz and the royal family.

Liz was diagnosed with desmoplastic small round cell tumor, a rare cancer, earlier this year, and was given a life expectancy of six months to three years. Her mother, Vicky, had previously shared Liz’s "photography bucket list" on X in the hope of creating lasting memories.

The post gained widespread attention, and Middleton’s involvement marked a significant step toward making Liz's dreams a reality.

“Liz is 16 and lives to take photographs. She has a rare and aggressive cancer which doctors have told her means she has between 6 months and 3 years to live. We hope every day for a lifetime for her but if we can’t achieve that we hope to create her a lifetime of memories,” the post, which garnered nearly 1 million views, stated.

“If we can make even one of her photography bucket list happen for her she will be beyond delighted.”

Middleton assisted Liz in ticking off a “bucket list” item just under a month after she posted a video revealing that she had finished her chemotherapy treatment.

Last month, she announced she was cancer-free and reflected on her journey, saying it had been “an incredibly tough” year but had reminded her to “be grateful for the simple yet important things in life.”
