LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: Kate Middleton has reportedly been left heartbroken after some people criticized her end of chemotherapy video, which included Prince William and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

A tipster shared with In Touch Weekly, “This has served as a brutal reminder for Kate that there’s always going to be cynicism when she puts herself into the public eye.”

Kate Middleton works hard 'never to put a foot wrong'

Kate Middleton had shared a video earlier this month announcing the end of her chemotherapy treatment.

“The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate stormy waters and world unknown,” she wrote alongside the video.

But criticism over the video from some quarters has left the Princess of Wales disheartened.

“As much as she’s trying to avoid reading anything negative, it’s hard to ignore that some people are saying she was ‘pulling a Meghan’ and that the video was over the top and too choreographed,” an insider shared.

The source continued, “Kate’s someone who does take the public perception very seriously. She works so hard never to put a foot wrong, and that’s why she’s usually so universally praised.

“She doesn’t take it for granted and appreciates it, but she’s also gotten used to being one of the favorite members of the family as far as the public and press are concerned.”

Kate Middleton feels she doesn't deserve the criticism

The insider explained Kate Middleton's “fake” photo controversy that happened in March.

“It came at such a hard time in her life when she wasn’t well and hadn’t shared the news.”

“She admitted it was a mistake, that she never should have used Photoshop, and took responsibility. But this time she doesn’t feel she deserves the criticism."

"She’s genuinely stunned that people are trying to tear her down when she was so authentic and raw,” they stated.

Kate Middleton's 'incredibly tough’ cancer treatment journey

Kate Middleton battled an undisclosed type of cancer and remained out of the public eye for most of the time this year.

However, earlier this month, she announced in the video posted on social media, “As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment.”

“The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you,” the princess noted.

Kate Middleton's video announcing end of chemotherapy sparks reactions

Though most people rejoiced as Kate Middleton announced the end of her cancer treatment journey in a video, there were a few who were cynical.

British-Nigerian lawyer and academic, Shola Mos-Shogbamimu, tweeted, “I get it. This video of Catherine, Princess of Wales of her cancer journey, cuddling/kissing William, gathered with a happy family, etc can be perceived as objectively contrived & PR move to rehabilitate their image, avoid speculation about health, marriage, etc.”

She mentioned in her lengthy post, “Nevertheless I wish for her the happy images portrayed because everyone should have a happy family. It’s important this video highlights the vast reality that there are thousands of Brits going through cancer (not preventative) who don’t have the option not to work as she does & really struggling in a way Catherine never would including those who'll bear the brunt of the winter fuel payments cap, ongoing cost of living crisis, food banks etc.”

“This video, if anything, should inspire the kind of visible change that ensures any Brit with a cancer diagnosis has the same options available to members of the Royal Family. I wish Catherine & all those going through cancer treatment well and (please God🙏🏾) to be cancer-free,” Mos-Shogbamimu added.

Another critic asked, “Why won’t she share what kind of ‘preventative’ ‘intermittent’ cancer she has (had?) or support cancer foundations?”

“She hasn’t lifted a fingernail to help cancer sufferers or awareness or treatment access. Easy, low bar, simple wins. The Royal grift continues apace,” another social media user alleged.
