ROME, NORTHERN ITALY: Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, is making social media swoon over her interaction with a baby during a recent public appearance.

She traveled to Italy for a two-day solo visit on Wednesday, May 13. During her arrival, she was greeted by locals, including a baby who quickly caught her attention. The sweet moment between them was captured on video and soon went viral online.

Social media users have been widely sharing the clip and reacting warmly to it. This visit also marks her first solo overseas trip since her cancer diagnosis.

Kate Middleton’s interaction with a baby during her Italy visit goes viral

The Princess of Wales was seen greeting crowds and waving during her visit to Italy. While meeting well-wishers, she paused after noticing a local mother holding a baby.  Middleton smiled warmly as she spoke with the mother and gently interacted with the three-month-old baby, Elena. The baby smiled back at her. 

Middleton was seen softly tickling the baby and sharing a few light moments. She did not hold the baby, but the short exchange appeared sweet and comforting, quickly drawing attention in a viral video.

For the outing, Middleton wore a stylish blue suit that stood out during her public appearance. She looked energized, enthused, and excited about her visit.  Speaking about her outfit, she wore a sky-blue blazer paired with matching tailored trousers by designer Edeline Lee, along with a white V-neck blouse.

She finished the look with a pale blue handbag and nude heels, creating a polished and elegant style during her meeting with locals in Italy.
