Princess Charlotte and Princess Kate’s coordinated style shines again at Wimbledon
Princess Charlotte and Princess Kate’s habit of matching at public appearances has not gone unnoticed. At Trooping the Colour in June, the pair wore similar teal outfits, and at Wimbledon in 2023, Charlotte debuted with stylish sunglasses beside her mom and aunt Pippa Middleton.

Their 2024 Wimbledon outing was also memorable as it marked one of Princess Kate's rare public appearances amid cancer treatment. The crowd gave the her a standing ovation, with Charlotte beaming proudly by her side.
Photographer Karwai Tang, who captured the moment, told PEOPLE, “When [Kate] usually comes in, she walks down the steps and into her seat. She doesn’t normally stand and wave. But she stood for a while and took it all in. For her to acknowledge it and take in the applause was special."

Another touching moment from this year’s event came when Charlotte returned to her seat after a break, laughing and sharing a private joke with her mom.
“She leaned over and must have told her mom what it was about and they were giggling together and having a good old laugh,” Tang said.
He added, “You can tell that all three of them were enjoying themselves - Charlotte is following the game like her mother. You can see their excitement.”

After the match, Charlotte had a chance to shake hands with champion Carlos Alcaraz, who claimed victory for the second consecutive year.
Charlotte also seems to be embracing her own athletic path. Prince William recently revealed to Olympic gold medalist Keely Hodgkinson that his daughter is training for the 400-meter race and hurdles, following in the sporty footsteps of her parents.
