After attending the annual Christmas Day church service in Sandringham with the royal family, Princess Charlotte greeted well-wishers outside the church.

While royals usually shake hands with members of the public and receive flowers and chocolates on Christmas Day, the young princess went a step further and agreed to a fan's request for a selfie.

According to Hello! the young royal smiled brightly as she posed for a photo with the fan before graciously accepting flowers and chocolates from the crowd.

This isn’t the first time Princess Charlotte has embraced the selfie trend. Earlier this year, she was spotted in a photograph taken during Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, which she attended with her father and older brother. A source revealed that the concert was particularly meaningful for Charlotte, calling it a “special day” amidst her family’s ongoing challenges.

"Princess Charlotte is the huge Taylor Swift fan in the family. She has wanted to go to the concert for months, but with her mum being treated for cancer, this was a really special day to be able to celebrate her Papa's birthday like this," an insider shared with Entertainment Tonight.

While selfies are not officially prohibited within the royal family, they have traditionally been discouraged as part of maintaining formality. However, in recent years, senior royals like Prince William, Princess Kate, and Queen Camilla have begun relaxing this informal rule, fostering closer connections with their admirers.

Princess Charlotte turned heads during the royal family’s Christmas Day service at Sandringham, not only for her poised demeanor but also for her striking resemblance to her mother, Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales.

The nine-year-old was photographed alongside her brothers, Prince George, 11, and Prince Louis, 6, during the family’s traditional walkabout, wearing a green tartan coat dress that perfectly complemented her mother’s outfit, reported Hello Magazine.

The comparisons became even more pronounced when fans recalled a September 2023 photo of Kate during her visit to HMP High Down. In the image, Kate donned a tailored navy Alexander McQueen suit, her hair styled in a blow-dry with blonde highlights that echoed the tones in Charlotte’s hair.

On Christmas Day, Kate coordinated her look with her daughter’s, stepping out in a forest-green Alexander McQueen coat paired with a tartan scarf reminiscent of Charlotte’s coat dress. Charlotte added a personal touch to her outfit with a green velvet bow by Beulah, a brand often worn by her mother.
