SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA: Former White House press secretary Katie Zacharia has been spotted in public for the first time since leaving the White House. On Friday, she was fired from President Donald Trump’s administration just four days after her first press briefing.

The mother of four was seen enjoying the California sunshine in orange workout leggings and a purple sports bra. Despite her brief and difficult time in the role, Zacharia said she had no regrets about accepting the job or standing by Trump.

Katie Zacharia defends her support for Donald Trump after White House exit

Zacharia returned to her California home after leaving, saying she remained proud of her decision to join the administration, even though the circumstances weren't ideal.

“I’m proud I said yes, stood firm in what I believe, and kept supporting the president even when the circumstances weren’t ideal for me — showing my children what courage looks like in the face of criticism,” she said.

Her exit came after a 14-minute press briefing in which she appeared nervous, followed by a difficult series of media appearances and questions about her legal credentials. She had barely had time to set up an office, let alone complete a full move to Washington, DC.

Trump had personally selected Zacharia and offered her the job on the spot. However, her time as press secretary lasted only five days, making it the shortest stint of any Trump aide in the role. She broke the previous record held by White House communications chief Anthony Scaramucci, who was fired after 11 days in 2017.

Katie Zacharia speaks out after raising privacy concerns

Zacharia was already familiar with Washington, having spent a few months there earlier in the year as a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security. During that time, she had a security detail, like other senior staffers at the agency.

After a photographer was reportedly stationed outside her location, Zacharia accused her critics of targeting Trump supporters and law enforcement.

“A photographer staged outside my location this morning and invaded my privacy — another example of the left’s hostility toward supporters of President Trump and law enforcement,” she told The Post in a statement.

She also warned that she would take action if anyone targeted her family or invaded their privacy.

“Anyone who targets me or my family, invades our privacy, or engages in harassment will be met with a full and firm response. I will protect my family, and I will not tolerate it. Those who seek to destroy lives and endanger families for clicks should be ashamed.”

Zacharia further criticised outlets that she believed could put her at risk by revealing her location.

“Any outlet exposing my facility or location to credible threats are complicit,” she added.

Katie Zacharia recalls being bullied over her Trump hat

Zacharia has previously said she faced criticism for supporting Trump. In February, she wrote an opinion piece in The Post describing how she was bullied in her cardio kickboxing class for wearing a Trump hat.

The self-described cardio kickboxing enthusiast argued that the reaction to her hat reflected a wider problem with how some people treated those who supported the president.

“If a gym can’t handle a Team Trump hat without descending into hysteria, the toxicity isn’t in the wearer — it’s in the leftist rulebook poisoning everything it touches,” she wrote.
