Keith Olbermann blasted for saying James Woods deserved to lose his house in LA fire for supporting Trump
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: As the LA wildfires wreak havoc on the homes of many celebrities, actor James Woods became one of the latest victims.
While many expressed sympathy, one X user controversially called it "karma." Actress Angela Belcamino quickly defended Woods, criticizing the cruel view and stating it was wrong to take pleasure in another’s misfortune.
Though the original commenter didn’t respond, former ESPN host Keith Olbermann fueled the controversy, claiming Woods deserved it. Olbermann’s remarks sparked a strong backlash on social media, with users urging him to delete his account.
I’m not a fan of James Woods at all but being happy his house burnt down isn’t the answer. Be better. pic.twitter.com/6THLEsYJ0J

Angela Belcamino defends James Woods
On January 8, a social media user took to X, commenting, "James Woods' house is burning down. It's karma calling." Angela Belcamino, a self-described “bold” liberal, shared the post to criticize it.
She screenshot the comment and wrote, "I’m not a fan of James Woods at all but being happy his house burnt down isn’t the answer. Be better."
The exchange didn’t end there—Keith Olbermann added his harsh remarks in the comment section, tweeting, "This is the attitude that lost the election. They will not compromise they will not convert they will not be human. They must be defeated - and any chance to bruise or batter them psychologically must be exploited."
He further called out Trump's supporters, "Especially James Woods, who is a despicable human being, especially to women. There's a reason he was cast as Roy Cohn."

In response, Belcamino fired back, "I could write you a laundry list of things that lost the presidency, house, senate, popular vote, and every single swing state but having an ounce of humanity isn’t one of them."
She continued, "Keithy, you truly haven’t learned a thing from 2024 and doubling down on this kind of rhetoric will cost the democrats again in 2028."
