James Woods and Denise Crosby among celebs fleeing their luxurious homes amid Pacific Palisades wildfire
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Actors James Woods, and Denise Crosby, reality TV stars Spencer Pratt and his wife Heidi Montag are among the celebrities who had to flee from their luxurious homes in the ritzy California neighborhood as a massive wildfire raged through Pacific Palisades in California.
As authorities warned of an “immediate threat to life", per Daily Mail, following the brush wildfire that was reported at around 10.30 am on Tuesday, January 7, thousands of residents from the posh locality joined in an exodus in search of a safer place.
Several celebrities joined the 30,000-odd crowd that beelined from the Pacific Palisades neighborhood as the fire broke out on Tuesday morning.
As reported by Fox, the Palisades fire was driven by the strong Santa Ana winds - originating from the Santa Monica Mountains. Within an hour it engulfed 200 acres of land which spread to nearly 3,000 acres by sundown.
Since the warning from the authorities, several stars have fled the Pacific Palisades neighborhood which A-listers like Ben Affleck and Tom Hanks call their home.
James Woods
James Woods, 77, was one of the first Hollywood stars to share his plight with his fans. In a series of posts made on his X account, the 'Casino' star shared that he and his family members evacuated from the area safely.
"To all the wonderful people who’ve reached out to us, thank you for being so concerned. Just letting you know that we were able to evacuate successfully. I do not know at this moment if our home is still standing, but sadly houses on our little street are not," shared Woods in one of his posts.

Recently, the actor shared another update on his home's decimation in the conflagration, writing, "All the smoke detectors are going off in our house and transmitting to our iPhones. I couldn’t believe our lovely little home in the hills held on this long. It feels like losing a loved one."

He also shared videos of first responders evacuating children from elementary schools and the overall mayhem caused by the fire.
Denise Crosby
Actress Denise Crosby shared an update on her X profile mentioning that while she and her family members were safe, she was not so sure about her house.
Sharing a video of the thick smoke engulfing the neighborhood, Crosby wrote, "#PalisadesFire I’m in the thick of it! Safe with my husband and dog, but not sure if I have a house. Keep you posted."

Later at night, she posted a heartfelt plea on X, writing, "So scared! My beautiful Spanish house has survived 100 years! Please Casa, you have been so good to me, I pray for you!#PalisadesFire."

Christa Miller
Christa Miller, 60, too shared a drone video of the blazing fire as it continued to rage along the hills, while revealing that she was evacuating her place.
Sending prayers and gratitude to the fireworkers who were working incessantly, the 'Shrinking' star wrote, "Evacuating, love, prayers and gratitude to all the firefighters working so hard. This is all so heartbreaking 💔."

Alabama Barker and Landon Barker
Travis Barker's children Alabama and Landon Barker too had to evacuate from their home in the Pacific Palisades. Alabama, 19, has been sharing updates on the fire, while also sharing the necessary helplines required in the catastrophe.
She took to her Instagram Stories to inform that she evacuated, writing, "Just evacuated from my home do to wild fires in Los Angeles, please be safe!!" before adding, "They are saying the fires are spreading football field amounts in seconds."
Her brother Landon Barker, too, took to his own Instagram to share that he has also evacuated from his home.
Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag
Reality TV star Spencer Pratt and his wife Heidi Montag lost their home in the Palisades fire, which the couple confirmed on their Snapchat accounts on Tuesday, reported Fox.
'The Hills' star recorded a series of videos where he showed how the fire quickly moved over the hill toward their house.
In one video, Pratt is heard saying, "Well, this isn't looking good," before adding, "First time I've seen the flames coming over. Aw, man. Okay, I'm going to go pack up I think."
In a later video, he shared that he saw his house burn down on their security cameras.
Steve Guttenberg
Actor Steve Guttenberg too had to flee from his home in the Palisades. The former Honorary Mayor of Pacific Palisades even helped the firefighters in moving the stranded cars from the roads to pave way for the fire trucks to enter the affected area.
Talking to KTLA 5's Gene Kang, the ‘Three Men and a Baby’ actor said, “What’s happening is people take their keys with them as if they’re in a parking lot. This is not a parking lot. We really need people to move their cars.”
He explained, “If you leave your car behind, leave the key in there so a guy like me can move your car so that these fire trucks can get up there.”
