LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag lost their home to the wildfire tearing through Los Angeles on Tuesday, January 7, sources claimed to TMZ.

Pratt and Montag’s residence, located in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles, was at the epicenter of the blaze first reported on Tuesday, per the outlet.

Sources told the outlet that the house "burned to the ground" but Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag were able to escape with their entire family safely. An insider also informed the outlet that the couple is "devastated" by the loss.

Notably, before being evacuated, Pratt posted a video on his Instagram Story showing fire planes dumping water onto a nearby hillside blaze, according to New York Post.



 

The Palisades fire was first reported at 10.30 am on Tuesday. It damaged homes and forced thousands to evacuate. Some residents had to leave their cars on the side of the road while fleeing. The cause of the fire was not immediately clear.

Meanwhile, California Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency as the fire engulfed more than 2,2900 acres, including several homes, and has zero containment as of Tuesday night, per CalFire.

A red flag warning from the National Weather Service was also issued on Monday, January 6, and is in effect until Wednesday, January 8, for much of Southern California.

Residents of Pacific Palisades have been informed by local officials to "evacuate now".

Pacific Palisades wildfire affects celebrities

Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag are not the only celebrities affected by the fire, which has torn through the star-studded Pacific Palisades area. Many other famous celebrities have also evacuated California.

Actor James Woods evacuated from his home within hours of the fire starting and shared multiple videos of the area in flames on X, formerly Twitter.

He also shared pictures from his home security cameras and neighbors showing the blaze quickly approaching his property, according to Newsweek.



 

Similarly, Steve Guttenberg was also spotted assisting with evacuation and firefighting efforts by attempting to clear Palisades Drive of vehicles to allow emergency workers to pass through the area.

'Schitt's Creek' star Eugene Levy, the honorary mayor of Pacific Palisades, told The Los Angeles Times on Tuesday that he spotted "black and intense" smoke while battling traffic during his evacuation.

Several social media users sympathized with Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag as they lost their home to the wildfire tearing through Los Angeles.

A user wrote on X, "Terrible, thoughts and prayers to everyone affected", while one added, "That is so awful."



 



 

A person stated, "I’m so sorry to hear that but at least they’re alright!"

Another mentioned, "Terrible news, they are really great people. Praying for the Pratt family."



 



 

A user wrote, "Terrible! Hope they are safe."
