Kim Kardashian makes rare confession about ‘DWTS’ stint: ‘It has traumatized me for life’
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kim Kardashian recently offered a rare reflection on her time as a contestant in ‘Dancing with the Stars (DWTS)’ during an appearance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ on October 15.
The SKIMS founder recalled her stint on ‘DWTS’ season 7 after Kimmel, 58, joked that she and Guillermo Rodriguez had “something special” in common, referring to both their time participating in the dancing reality show.
While Kardashian was eliminated in 11th place during her time in ‘DWTS,’ Rodriguez participated in the 35th season and finished in 5th place.

Kim Kardashian reveals ‘DWTS’ left her ‘traumatized’
Remembering her ‘DWTS’ season 7 stint, Kardashian told Kimmel that she often prayed to get eliminated from the competition during her time on the show. “I would honestly cry in my trailer, like, every single night, praying to get kicked off,” she shared, adding, “It was so hard for me.”
The ‘All’s Fair’ actress continued, “I was so shy to do it. I couldn’t get over myself. I couldn’t get into it because I was just so shy. I never danced again. Like, actually — I’ve never danced since.”
When asked whether she at least hits the dance floor during weddings, Kardashian answered in the negative, saying, “I am traumatized. No, it’s traumatized me for life.” The mother-of-four also admitted that while she was “a little” comfortable with the idea of dancing before ‘DWTS,’ that stance changed after the show.
After Kimmel played a clip of Kardashian and her ‘DWTS’ dance partner, Mark Ballas, dancing to ‘Baby Got Back,’ the reality star said, “I can’t even watch.”
Kylie Jenner played Kim Kardashian’s ‘DWTS’ performances on the big screen
Kardashian also told Kimmel that she last watched her ‘DWTS’ performances when her younger sister, Kylie Jenner, played them on a “big movie screen” during a family poker night three weeks ago.
“Half the people there didn’t know that I did it, and she wanted to show everyone,” Kardashian said. “Thank God that it’s so old that it’s pixelated. There’s no HD version of it on YouTube. But, you know what, I got up and went in front of the screen and I remembered some of my moves,” she added.
“I wished that I had the confidence that I do now. Because I told my sisters, ‘Could you imagine if we did a Kardashian-Jenner whole season of all of us, competing against each other on ‘Dancing with the Stars?’” Kardashian shared.

As Kimmel called the hypothetical pitch a “fantastic idea,” Kardashian asked, “Isn’t that amazing?” adding, “And we all loved it. We all were like, ‘Yes...’ I don’t know if they would ever do that. ‘Cause my brother was so good, I would just want us all back. I don’t know if they bring people back, but I’d do it. I’d do it.”
While the ‘KUWTK’ alum participated in the seventh season of the show, her brother Rob Kardashian not only appeared as a contestant alongside Cheryl Burke on the 13th season of ‘DWTS,’ but also earned second place.
