Following his divorce from Vanessa Trump, Trump Jr and Guilfoyle began dating in 2018, making their relationship public in June that year.
Their commitment grew stronger with an engagement announcement in February 2022, but by December 2024, their relationship took a sudden turn, and the couple called off their engagement.

One source revealed, “She gave them everything — her time, her energy, her loyalty. But the second Don moved on, so did the family. Kimberly was discarded like yesterday's news.”
The emotional blow reportedly intensified when Don Jr introduced his new girlfriend, Palm Beach socialite Bettina Anderson, at a Trump family gathering - where she was warmly welcomed. “They never embraced Kimberly like this,” the insider added. “Bettina fits their polished image. Kimberly never quite made the cut.”
Though Guilfoyle now holds a prominent role as US Ambassador to Greece, sources say she’s privately grappling with the sense of rejection from a family she once seemed destined to join.
A friend of Guilfoyle told gossip columnist Rob Shuter that although she's staying composed publicly, the emotional toll of her split from Trump Jr runs deep.
“Kimberly's putting on a brave face. But behind the scenes, it hurts. She went from nearly being a Trump to being totally iced out,” the source shared.

This came to light during Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration events, where Guilfoyle crossed paths with Trump Jr and his new girlfriend, model Bettina Anderson.
According to People, she kept things civil despite the awkward overlap. “Kim saw Don with Bettina, and it was all civil. No negativity,” a source said, noting she was very aware of their presence and kept a “watchful eye.”
While the relationship may have ended, Guilfoyle and Don Jr have maintained a respectful public front.
