Lara Trump accuses Tim Walz and Jacob Frey of ‘inciting people’ against ICE
WASHINGTON, DC: Lara Trump slammed Democratic Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey for “inciting people” against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids.
The daughter-in-law of Donald Trump also commended red states for their cooperation toward ICE while speaking with Sandra Smith on 'America's Newsroom'.

Lara Trump says Tim Walz and Jacob Frey don't care about 'their constituents and citizens'
Lara said, “A lot of those ICE agents and Border Patrol agents ran out of gas stations this past week. They were just trying to stop to use the bathroom and get a snack … they [Walz, Frey] stopped caring a long time ago about their constituents and their citizens.”
“If they actually cared, they would partner with federal law enforcement,” she claimed.
Lara then went on to mention states, like “Washington, DC, Memphis, and Louisiana,” which are “proof that whenever local officials are willing to work with federal law enforcement, great things happen, crime drops, and areas become safer.”
Lara Trump accuses Tim Walz and Jacob Frey of 'fanning the flames'
Once again shifting her focus toward Walz and Frey, Lara attacked the Democrats and alleged that they’re “fanning the flames and inciting people. They’re the reason that these law enforcement officers cannot do their jobs.”
“People charging into churches, threatening and screaming at people last Sunday. Again, the reason that you’ve seen such hostility towards our men and women of ICE. It is absolutely crazy,” she added.
Lara Trump claims Democrats are 'impeding a law enforcement operation'
Extensive ICE raids have been going on in Minnesota for weeks, and as per the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem, federal officers have arrested around 10,000 illegal immigrants in Minneapolis.
Most recently, a five-year-old child, Liam Conejo Ramos, was detained by ICE agents in a Minneapolis suburb. Though Tricia McLaughlin, Department of Homeland Security assistant secretary, claimed that the federal agents “did NOT target a child.”
However, locals have expressed their anger via protests. Tension ensued when a 37-year-old woman named Renee Nicole Good was fatally shot by an ICE agent on January 7.
The killing led to demand for fair investigation and accountability from the Trump government, which branded Good a “domestic te**orist” and “deranged.”
Meanwhile, during the show, Lara told Smith, “What’s really amazing to me, Sandra, is to see how active the Democrats can be when it comes to impeding a law enforcement operation, yet, there in Minnesota, they’ve been pretty inactive when it comes to recovering millions and millions of dollars of fraud and taxpayer money that happened on their watch.”
“Where are they on that? And isn’t it funny how they can pick and choose what they are going to be excited about?” she claimed.
