WASHINGTON, DC: Eric Trump's disclosure that his wife thought about his father Donald Trump's political career before going to bed amused a lot of netizens.

During his appearance on the QAnon podcast 'X22 Report' in late June, the former president's second son revealed Lara had been greatly impacted by the outcomes of the 2020 election.

He said, "She wakes up in the morning thinking about this, she goes to bed at night thinking about that very problem." He noted that she often worries Democrats will once again try to steal the election from his father, as per Ron Filipkowski, Editor-in-Chief of MeidasTouch.

Relationship expert says Lara Trump's focus on Donald Trump's political career reflects the family's 'collectivist' nature

While many may find such a conundrum odd, relationship expert Dr Wendy Walsh felt differently.

In a Nicki Swift interview, Dr Walsh noted that rather than spelling disaster it may potentially represent a very solid marriage. She explained, "Relationships are a bridge between tribes ... better known as family systems. Other families are more 'collectivist' and relate in ways that are more interdependent."

She believes the Trumps belong to that group and that it appeared to work for them. Dr Walsh noted that their collectivist family structure could potentially play a significant role in their successful marriage.

"As a couple, both Lara and Eric likely share the idea that being loyal to 'Dad' is a family value, so, in my opinion, putting Donald above Eric is still a way of supporting Eric," mentioned Dr Walsh.

After dating for six years, Eric and Lara tied the knot in November 2014 at the Mar-a-Lago Club. They share two children, a son, Eric "Luke" Trump, and a daughter, Carolina Dorothy.

Lara, who previously worked as a TV producer, has co-chaired the Republican National Committee (RNC) since March of this year. She has been actively involved in her father-in-law's 2024 reelection campaign.

Internet mocks Lara Trump as Eric Trump reveals her bedtime thoughts

Mockery ensued after Eric revealed that Lara thought about his father's political career before going to bed.

One wrote, "Sound like she’s delusional and obsessive. Maybe see a psychiatrist," and another added, "She is not, but anyway, tell her that it is not democrats who stormed the Capitol to steal the Government, it was her friends the MAGAs."

A person stated, "Makes sense. When Trump loses, the RNC stops pulling in money the family can siphon off. Makes sense she’s worried." Someone else remarked, "I’m thinking she goes to sleep trying to figure out how to steal rnc funds for the fam."

"Projection. Remember, the GOP is trying to do everything they accuse the Democrats of," claimed one more, whereas an individual commented, "Well, pretty soon she can go to sleep at night and wake up in the nightmare that her Father-in-Law LOST the election and he will be heading to court on the J6 Insurrection and Classified Documents crimes."
