Lara Trump says mainstream media propping up Kamala Harris reminds her of designer ‘trash bag’

WASHINGTON, DC: Lara Trump attacked Kamala Harris in a new interview, saying that the frenzy around the Vice President reminded her of a designer "trash bag".

The Republican National Committee co-chair appeared on ‘Hannity’ where she was asked about the Vice President, who will be presumptively running for the White House after Joe Biden dropped out of the race.

Joe Biden announced a few days ago that he was exiting the 2024 presidential race.

“I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term," he said.

He extended his "full support and endorsement" for Kamala Harris to be the Democratic nominee. "Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this," he added.

After Harris was endorsed by Biden, Republicans have sharpened their attacks against the Vice President.

On 'Hannity', host Sean Hannity discussed Kamala Harris' presidential bid with Lara Trump, as reported by Mediaite.

“And as we go through her record, it is, by far the most radical record of anybody that has ever run for the office of the presidency," he said.

“I would argue, in 98 days, it is the job of the Republican Party and the Trump campaign to make sure every American knows this record, backwards and forwards. That would be the winning formula to me.”

To this, Lara Trump responded saying, "Sean, you’re exactly right because look, I think we very clearly have seen the mainstream media, and the folks out there are not gonna do it for us.”

She continued, “In fact, they’re trying to rewrite history. It’s been incredible to see the way they have tried to prop up Kamala Harris and really sell her as some sort of– this amazing political figure to the American people."

“It reminds me of– there was a bag that a very famous designer designed. This was several years ago, and it literally was a trash bag, but they sold this thing for like $2000 thinking that people will actually buy it." Lara mockingly said. 

“It’s a similar situation with Kamala Harris. Nobody was interested in Kamala Harris even several months ago,” the former television producer asserted.

Lara added, “She was rated as the most liberal, most radical member of the United States Senate. We have to speak that loudly and clearly to the American people.”
