WASHINGTON, DC: Swae Lee found himself at the center of a social media storm after he voiced his political views against Kamala Harris and Democrats.

The 'Close to Me' rapper urged his fans and social media followers to not vote for Harris.

Joe Biden exits 2024 presidential race

In a statement last week, President Joe Biden said, “In recent weeks, it’s become clear to me I need to unite my party … but nothing can come in the way of saving our democracy – and that includes personal ambition. So I’ve decided the best way forward is to pass the torch to a new generation. That’s the best way to unite our nation.”

“You know, there is a time and a place for long years of experience in public life. There’s also a time and a place for new voices, fresh voices —yes, younger voices. And that time of place is now,” Biden added.

After announcing his withdrawal from the 2024 race, Biden endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee.

He also attacked President Joe Biden in another tweet saying, “I pay over millions in tax dollars every year this man Sent it to A whole nother country !!!!!!!!! Those lil dollars that come off your checks they gave it away !!!!!!! Think about that s**t.”

The 'Sunflower' rapper was referring to the Biden administration’s decision to send millions to Ukraine to aid them in a war against Russia.

In another fiery tweet he wrote, "The money we sent away every American citizen could’ve got minimal 200 grand think about that but I guess we don’t need the s**t and yall standing for Kamala."

"My Black people she don’t do nothing but sign off on things against yall ….(us) voting just cuz you think she’s Black is not going to end in your favor."

Lee did not stop there as he went on to share a video of the Vice President when she ran for president of America in the 2020 election before eventually dropping out.

The clip featured Tulsi Gabbard, calling out Harris for the “broken justice system”.

Swae Lee did not find many takers for his political views as he was subjected to severe backlash over his tweets against Kamala Harris.

A person commented, “Not voting for a twice impeached convicted felon. So I’ll go with Kamala.”

Another person tweeted, “Think I'ma take political advice from a rapper who don't have any base in his voice?”

“If voting for her meant I could never listen to your music again, I would vote for her a million times,” a tweet read.
