WASHINGTON, DC: Fox News host Laura Ingraham's recent critique of Kamala Harris for hugging people has not been warmly received on social media.

In 'The Ingraham Angle' episode aired on Friday, August 2, the host persistently criticized Vice President Harris' qualifications, labeling her as "unserious."

Additionally, the host scrutinized Kamala Harris' laughter, which reflects a criticism that GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump and other conservative media personalities have long expressed, HuffPost reported.

Ingraham criticized a speech that Harris delivered at the 2022 Munich Security Conference shortly before the invasion of Ukraine by Russia.

“Her brilliance about topics like Ukraine — it’s just too much for most mortals to digest,” the Fox News host said mockingly, before playing a clip of Harris' speech that repeatedly warned of a "war in Europe."

“It’s better for her to stay in her sweet spot, as the hugger-in-chief,” Ingraham continued.

The program then rolled a compilation of Harris embracing people. One clip showed the vice president hugging Bill and Hilary Clinton onstage before she delivered a eulogy for the late Rep Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) at a memorial service on Thursday, August 1.

“But she feels, and she laughs, and she hugs,” Ingraham scoffed.

Internet criticizes Laura Ingraham

Some individuals on X, previously known as Twitter, have since ridiculed Ingraham for utilizing footage of Harris hugging individuals as a means of criticism.

A user wrote, “Showing compassion and empathy is a bad thing in their book.”

Another user added, “The fact is; hugging, laughing and being herself, is her superpower. Stark contrast to the grumpy, pompous, cruel, nagging one.”

A third commentator wrote, "I told you Maga’s we’re weird."

"They don’t like her laughing, hugging, celebrating, etc. No greater proof that the are a party of dull sociopaths," one remarked.

A person said, "Guessing if Laura Ingraham had received hugs she wouldn’t of been convicted of shoplifting."

Another user added, "To be fair, Laura does seem like she’s never been hugged before. So, this isn’t relatable behavior for her."
