LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Fox News host Laura Ingraham recently shared her deep emotional response to the shocking news of former President Donald Trump being shot during a rally in Pennsylvania.

On her show, Ingraham revealed that she was overwhelmed with sorrow and began to cry when she first heard about the incident.

Shocking attack at Donald Trump rally

On Saturday, at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania, Donald Trump was shot in the ear by an assailant. The attacker, 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, was fatally shot by Secret Service agents at the scene.

The attack resulted in the death of one rally attendee and left two others injured. Crooks was a registered Republican who had previously donated $15 to a Democratic fundraising platform, but his exact motives for the attack remain unclear.

Ingraham shared her emotional reaction to the incident during Monday’s edition of 'The Ingraham Angle,' featuring Eric Trump as a guest from the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.

Eric Trump spoke passionately about the ongoing efforts to undermine his father, stating, “They have done everything to strip him of his wealth and fame. They’ve tried to break up our family and have done everything possible to try to get him and kill him. They literally attempted to kill him this week. Yet, despite this, he remains undeterred, unrelenting, and loves this country.”

Laura Ingraham opens up about her tearful reaction to the shooting news

Laura Ingraham reacted to Eric Trump’s comments by sharing her own feelings about the news of the shooting, stating, “Well, I got teared up,” she confessed.

“And I started crying when I heard the news. I was in the car and the radio was on. And I was listening. It was live. When I heard that stop, and I said to my son, I think President Trump was shot. And I was bawling. What was your reaction before you knew that he was ok?” Ingraham said.

In response, Eric Trump shared his own perspective, reflecting on his experience with firearms. “I’ve done a lot of shooting in my life,” he said. “It’s kind of my hobby and, you know, I know very, very well, and I heard those gunshots and I knew it was bad.”

He went on to describe the incident as a moment of “divine intervention,” noting how his father turned his head just in time to avoid a fatal injury.
