WASHINGTON, DC: Fox News host Laura Ingraham called out Kamala Harris' campaign for trying to paint the presumptive Democratic nominee as a leader who is tough on crime, during her monologue on the Friday, July 26 episode of 'The Ingraham Angle.'

Supporters of the Vice President have been touting her record as a federal prosecutor to support their claim, which Ingraham negated by arguing that she had called for defunding the police in support of the Black Lives Matter movement in 2020.

Laura Ingraham labels Kamala Harris 'Kama-Chameleon'

"Right now, Kamala Harris’ cadre of high-paid consultants and fat cat donors are frantically trying to create an alternative reality, one where Kamala Harris is the candidate that America has been hungering for," Laura Ingraham began on Friday.

Citing instances where Harris supporters claimed that the Vice President is a leader who can be considered as "tough on crimes," Ingraham mocked, "I didn't know you could be 'tough on crime' and anti-police."

She played a clip of the then-Senator Harris calling to defund the police during an interview, in light of the murder of George Floyd in 2020. Harris was seen arguing that simply putting more cops on the street did not amount to more safety for the citizens.

"Well, Kamala Harris tries to blend into whatever background she is in," jibed Ingraham. "So, during the 2020 riots, when it was trendy to be anti-law enforcement, she echoed whatever trite blather other liberals everywhere were posting on social media."

"Now, it's funny how you don't hear Harris talk about that movement much anymore, because last time I checked, various BLM groups were being investigated for waste, fraud, and abuse of the tens of millions in funds that they raked in," she claimed.

"Harris' policies and the anti-police sentiment that she helped fuel has led to dangerous recruitment shortfalls as well, and in the cities by the way, where people really need policing the most, including in her hometown of San Francisco."

"And the shortfall seems to have even reached to the ranks of the US Park police. The head of the Fraternal Order of Police told us that the reason why so few arrests happened at the anti-Israel protest on Wednesday was because they had 29 officers assigned to monitor tens of thousands in the nasty mob. So of course vandals, they had free reign," added Ingraham.

"Look, every story the media is promoting about Harris right now until election night is untrue. She's not a visionary leader. She's not a brilliant politician. She's not a tough former prosecutor. She's a left-wing hack," she went on to conclude.

MAGA supporters back Laura Ingraham

Ingraham's take resonated with MAGA supporters on the internet, who backed her in the comments on YouTube. They expressed their concerns about her running for the presidency in the upcoming general election, as the following examples demonstrate.

"The same people saying Kamala is a great candidate are the ones who told you Joe is fit for office," wrote a person.

"I can honestly say I am terrified she is running for Presidency. God help us all," stated another.

"'Tough on crime'? The defund supporter? The provider of bail to dangerous criminals? We’re not that stupid…well, some of us aren’t," quipped a third.

"She's just another puppet," claimed yet another.

"People that lie can't be trusted....simple....and she does it consistently," shared a fifth.
