MANHATTAN, NEW YORK CITY: On the June 7 episode of 'The Ingraham Angle', Fox News host Laura Ingraham criticized President Joe Biden's "muddled, unserious and unrealistic" thinking in his speech commemorating the 80th anniversary of D-Day in France.

Ingraham argued that the speech, intended to resonate with voters and position Biden as a unifying figure, instead highlighted what she sees as the administration's muddled and unrealistic thinking.

Laura Ingraham slams Biden's D-day speech as 'muddled'

Ingraham began, saying, "It was a beautiful, somber setting in France to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day today — the few remaining World War II vets on their final mission." She acknowledged the significance of the event but swiftly moved on to critique Biden's remarks.

"The Biden team hoped that the president's remarks would resonate with voters back home, showcasing him as a Reaganesque figure who would unite Americans and the rest of the world behind his vision," she said.

"But the speech they wrote for him merely demonstrated how muddled, unserious, and unrealistic their thinking is, "she added.

Ingraham specifically took issue with the administration's comparison of the current situation in Ukraine, stating, "First, the Biden folks seem to think that they can convince us that Russia in Ukraine poses the same existential threat to the West as Germany did in 1944. This is simply ridiculous."

She then highlighted the apparent lack of concern among European nations about the Russian threat, noting, "European nations themselves are so unconcerned about the Russian threat that to this day, many of them are not meeting their own targets."

Ingraham pointed out, "Remember, that was decided upon back in 2014 to spend 2% of their GDP on defense."

Ingraham argued that under these circumstances, Biden's speech comes across as "irresponsibly fear-mongering."

She then warned, "That could actually end up with our getting into a nuclear war with the former Soviet Union," especially given Biden's recent authorization allowing Ukraine to use American weapons to strike within Russia.

Netizens split over Ingraham's claims

Laura Ingraham's claims that Biden's D-Day speech reveals 'unserious and unrealistic' thinking sparked debate online.

One viewer shared, "Biden doesn't have vision he has delusions. The man is delusional."

In a similar vein, another observer chimed in, "Why on earth is Biden talking about Ukraine/Russia in a ceremony to honor these heros?? Absurd!"

A viewer replied, "What a disgrace."

Adding to the conversation, a follower contributed, "It’s disgraceful that he made this about the Ukraine. Disgusting! Guess we’ll be sending a few more billions."

A comment emphasized, "Why is Biden so obsessed with helping Ukraine to the point of driving the world to the brink of ww3? The fact that Russia is eyeing Europe as its next goal in its expansionist policy is absolutely ridiculous. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has said that he does not consider the scenario in which the alliance will go to war with Russia in the coming years to be inevitable. Biden's fear mongering narrative promotes just one question:"What really is he afraid of?" Obviously, his prospects of reelection can be jeopardized if Russia wins. Also, there's some sensitive information Russia may get hold of if Putin carries out the SMO plans to the fullest. All this stinks to high heaven. The dementia patient should seek retirement asap. Not only is he playing with fire, but he's ruining America's reputation as a responsible and serious world power."

Echoing this sentiment, another comment noted, "Stick your head in the sand Laura," and elaborated, "Well, it is somewhere else right now."
