Laura Loomer raises questions about information gaps surrounding Brown University shooting
PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND: After the Brown University shooting, far-right activist Laura Loomer reacted to the incident with a series of tweets in which she not only speculated about the identity of the shooter but also suggested a possible te**orism angle without providing any evidence.
In a series of tweets posted a short while after the shooting was reported, Loomer mentioned the timing of the incident, the day before the first night of Hanukkah, and asked if the attack could have something to do with te**orism.

I wonder if the shooter shouted Allahu Akbar. Will be interesting to see. How come we don’t have any information about the shooter?
Surely someone saw the shooter before they fled. https://t.co/WUxaVIGKjO

Laura Loomer also questioned the lack of publicly available information, asking, “How come we don’t have any information about the shooter? Surely someone saw the shooter before they fled.”
At the time of her tweets, law enforcement officials had confirmed an active investigation was ongoing and said details about the suspect would be released when verified.
In another post, Loomer wrote, “The police in Rhode Island were just asked if the shooting at Brown University today was te**orism. They said they don’t know if it was ‘international te**orism.’”

“What is this new term ‘international te**orism’? Sometimes I feel like we live in the age of Obama, where everyone is terrified of saying 'Islamic terrorism.' What is international te**orism?” tweeted Loomer.
Authorities have pointed out that the initial details are usually incomplete in the case of a mass shooting, and they have advised not to make any conclusions before the facts are confirmed.
According to the Providence police, figuring out the motive, for instance, whether the act is a case of te**orism, needs a considerable amount of time and evidence that has been double-checked.
An investigation is underway, police are still looking for the suspect, and the motive is still unknown, according to authorities.
