Laura Loomer's press secretary pitch takes bizarre turn as she insists she's a 'natural blonde'
WASHINGTON, DC: Conservative activist Laura Loomer has thrown her name into the race for White House press secretary, using a series of posts on X to explain why President Donald Trump should give her the job.
Her pitch took an unexpected turn when she shared a childhood photograph of herself with a tricycle and declared that she was a “natural blonde.”
Loomer made the posts after Katie Zacharia left the position after just five days in the role.
Hear me out: Press Secretary Laura Loomer.

Laura Loomer wants to be Trump's press secretary
Loomer first floated the idea in a post on X on Friday, October 16, writing, “Hear me out: Press Secretary Laura Loomer.”
About two hours later, she returned with a more detailed pitch, insisting she would be suited to the job.
“I would be an amazing press secretary,” Loomer wrote. “I’d show President Trump all the receipts. I would bring my binder full of receipts to every briefing.”
She then posted a photograph that showed her as a child, smiling beside a tricycle.
I would be an amazing Press Secretary. I’d show President Trump all the receipts. I would bring my binder full of receipts to every briefing.

The posts came as the White House faced questions over Zacharia’s short tenure.
Notably, both Karoline Leavitt and Zacharia are blonde, making Loomer’s photos and her claim to be a “natural blonde” stand out.

Loomer has built her public profile around her support for Trump and has repeatedly used social media to defend him and criticize people she considers opponents of his administration.
Her relationship with the president has also attracted attention because she reportedly raised concerns directly with him about officials she viewed as disloyal.
One of the main reasons why people want to be so cruel to @KatieZacharia is because she is pretty and White. White envy and pretty envy are real. She was obviously nervous during her first press briefing and it didn’t go well, but some of you were kinder to Lindsey Clancy. Let that sink in.

Laura Loomer defends Katie Zacharia
Loomer also defended Zacharia in a separate post, claiming the criticism directed at her was driven by her being “pretty and White.”
She argued that “White envy and pretty envy are real,” while acknowledging that Zacharia appeared nervous during her first press briefing and that it “didn’t go well.”
Loomer also questioned why some people had shown more kindness toward Lindsay Clancy, adding, “Let that sink in.”
Zacharia’s five days as White House press secretary unraveled amid a rocky first briefing, questions about her qualifications and an abrupt departure from the West Wing.

Her debut on Tuesday was brief, lasting around 14 minutes, with only three questions from reporters.
The appearance drew criticism, and attention soon turned to her claim of being an attorney.
Zacharia later clarified that she had never passed the bar exam and had not attempted it again.
By Friday, her time in the job appeared to be ending in real time.
Zacharia was reportedly talking with The Wall Street Journal about her plans in her West Wing office when aide Jason Miller arrived with a message that Vice President JD Vance wanted to see her.
She stepped out of the interview and did not come back.
