Pumpkin Efird rips Mama June for wasting $500K on 'bag of crack', refusing to help daughter Alana Thompson
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a preview for Friday, April 12, episode of 'Mama June: Family Crisis', Mama June Shannon revealed the true reason for her repeated refusals to assist youngest daughter Alana 'Honey Boo Boo' Thompson with her college expenses.
In an exclusive early peek by PEOPLE, Mama June and her husband Justin Shroud meet with Lauryn 'Pumpkin' Efird and Alana to resolve the outstanding balance in Alana's Coogan account.
Pumpkin discovered at least $35K has disappeared from Alana's earnings
In the opening scene of the clip, Lauryn is seen standing in front of a whiteboard covered in statistics and notes that show how much money Alana made on reality TV throughout her career and how much had been paid by June.
Following a thorough analysis of Alana's multiple child star appearances, out-of-state taxes, and Mama June's spending, Lauryn revealed that $35,728 is missing from Alana's account.
Mama June responded sharply, "Well, you're not even allowing me to talk," following a brief exchange of words.
In response to Lauryn's accusation that June was attempting to dodge her betrayal, she said she is "not going around the facts" and inquired as to whether she planned to give Alana "35 grand" following the presentation.
"If Mama wants to have like a relationship with me she needs to pay me back, because one thing I don't do, is I don't hang around no 'thief' that gonna steal my money now," Alana confessed to the camera. "You was the one who stole it so you need to pay my money back."
As previously reported, Mama June admitted that she had spent most of the money Alana earned from her time on 'Dancing With the Stars', but she maintained that she had not spent the entire 12 years of her child's money.
Lauryn 'Pumpkin' claimed Mama June spent money on a 'bag of crack'
Lauryn 'Pumpkin' mentioned in another scene of the preview that the stolen funds might have covered a couple of Alana's costly semesters at university.
The 18-year-old was awarded a $21,000 scholarship to study neonatal nursing at Regis University in Colorado. However, she soon learned that the cost of her degree would be an incredible $43,000 annually or $11,000 per semester, per OK! Magazine.
In a startling admission, June admitted she might be more inclined to assist if she were certain Alana would remain in Colorado.
This suggests that June thinks her daughter will drop out and that whatever money she might have given her would have been wasted.
"You're being [a] negative b****!" Lauryn cried out. "You're not a supportive mother! ... Who cares?! It's investing in your daughter if you lost 10 grand?!"
She continued, bringing up her mother's past drug addiction issues, saying, "You lost $500,000 to a bag of f****** crack, b****! God forbid Alana drop out of college and waste 10 grand."
When Mama June insists that she would not "tell y'all what to do with you're money," Alana interjected again, saying that no one is "mad" about her refusal to assist with college expenses.
"I don't even want you to pay for college. I just want my 35 grand back in my account so I can pay for college," Alana added.
