ATLANTA, GEORGIA: June 'Mama June' Shannon is apprehensive about her youngest child leaving the nest as she awaits Alana 'Honey Boo Boo' Thompson's college selection.

In the most recent episode of 'Mama June: Family Crisis,' Mama June addressed the possibility that her daughter Alana 'Honey Boo Boo' will move to Colorado to attend college rather than stay in the South.

The 44-year-old reality TV star—who recently talked about her late daughter Anna 'Chickadee' Cardwell's final request—has long-standing problems with her elder sister, Joanne 'Doe Doe' Shannon.

Alana 'Honey Boo Boo' Thompson finally decides to go to Colorado for college

On Friday's (March 8) episode of 'Mama June: Family Crisis,' Alana, 18, informed her sister Lauryn 'Pumpkin' Efird that she had decided to go to Colorado to continue her studies.

Alana further stated at the beginning of the episode that she intended to attend college regardless of the legal status of her boyfriend, Dralin Carswell.

Though the news that Alana was "maturing and growing up and not depending on a man" delighted Lauryn, 24, the two became concerned about Mama June's reaction to the information.

Lauryn asked her younger sister, "Are you gonna tell Mama, Alana?" to which 'Honey Boo Boo' replied, "For what? Like Mama is not making it seem like she really wants me to go to Colorado."

"I think she wants me to stay here. She's finding every excuse in the book why Colorado is not a good idea," Alana retorted, per PEOPLE.

According to Lauryn, Mama June might be wanting Alana to stay in Georgia so she may attempt to "correct her wrongs" since she feels "a lot of guilt" for being away from them when they were young. "But it's a little too late for that now," she said.

"It is a little scary because, like, I don't want to lose Dralin, but I also got to push myself and fight for my dreams, because who else is gonna do it?" Alana remarked after discussing her move to college.

Alana was then driven to Alabama by Lauryn and her husband, Josh Efird, to help Mama June and her husband, Justin Stroud, in their move to Georgia so they could be nearer to their family.

Over at her house in Alabama, Mama June told her husband Justin that she didn't think Alana wanted to go to college in Colorado. Her youngest, she said, had not signed up for classes or found a place to live.

"I don't want her to spread her wings and damn crash," Mama June said in a private conversation with Justin on her concerns about Alana relocating across the nation to attend college, per Daily Mail.

To Mama June's dismay, Alana revealed her plan to enroll in college when the three of them arrived. The Shannon family matriarch made an effort to influence her decision by reminding her about the cost of renting in Colorado and the need to look for new housing.

Lauryn went on to say that her sister would benefit from a change of scenery, saying, "There's nothing but bad memories, drama, and bulls**t that surrounds Mama 24/7. It would be nice for everybody to get a fresh slate."

Mama June asserted that Alana needed to figure out how she was going to pay her rent and was unprepared for life on her own. She expressed her worry that Alana would pay for college only to find out she didn't enjoy the experience.

"The world is a cruel place and it will chew you up and spit you out and not think twice about it," Mama June said to the cameras. "And there's nothing I'll be able to do, Josh will be able to do, Pumpkin will be able to do to save Alana at the end of the day."

'Mama June: Family Crisis' will broadcast its upcoming episode on March 15 at 9 p.m. ET.
