LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Leonardo DiCaprio showed he can take a joke with ease. After Nikki Glaser poked fun at him during the 2026 Golden Globe Awards, he chose a surprising way to respond.
Appearing on 'The Tonight Show', Glaser revealed that DiCaprio sent her three baskets of pasta. She also spoke about how the gesture made her feel. Glaser revealed that DiCaprio was "the only person who sent something back to me." She usually sends flowers to celebrities she roasts, but this time, DiCaprio returned the favor.
Nikki Glaser reveals what Leonardo DiCaprio sent her as a gift
During Nikki Glaser's Tuesday, April 21, appearance on Jimmy Fallon's show, where she was promoting her new special 'Good Girl,' the comedian revisited her experience hosting the awards for the second year in a row.
Naturally, the conversation turned to her jokes about DiCaprio, especially the one about how little he shares about his personal life. But while Glaser had fun roasting him on stage, she also made it a point not to go personal, and something which the world sees less.
She reminded Fallon that she had joked about a 1991 interview where DiCaprio said his favorite food is “pasta, pasta, and more pasta.” "And it really was real, and then he sent me three baskets of pasta as a thank you," she said. "So funny. So good. And part of me was like, 'Does Leo want to smash?'"
At the Golden Globes itself, DiCaprio clearly enjoyed the moment. He laughed, mouthed “Yes!” and even gave Glaser a thumbs-up during her bit. But Glaser, of course, kept the jokes going. "The type of girl he goes for, he wouldn't send pasta to," she quipped.
"It was dry pasta. I think the company was Mena Pasta. Spaghetti O's, maybe, I would have been more his type. A crib full of Dunkaroos and Go-Gurt, I would have been like, 'Oh! He's into me." And when it seemed like she might wrap it up, she added one more punchline as the audience laughed: "He dates young girls. I can't stop."
Nikki Glaser digs deeper into Leonardo DiCaprio's roast
Glaser said more about her Golden Globes jokes about DiCaprio. While reflecting on the moment, she explained how tricky it was to come up with material about someone so private. "That joke's been going on longer than, you know, his current girlfriend has been alive. It's truly been around forever," Glaser quipped.
"There was nothing else to say about him. And then I was like, 'Well, that's kind of funny,' so I was like, 'This guy doesn't reveal anything about himself. Let's find something he's revealed." She admitted the joke felt like a bit of a 'cheap' shot, but said she didn’t have many options. As she put it, “We don't know anything else about you, man.”
Glaser is already set to return in 2027. "I'm thrilled to host the Golden Globes for a third time, not only because it's the greatest gig I've ever had, but because my sister has three kids and now we will be equal in the eyes of my parents and the Lord."
