Liam Payne’s alleged drug dealer calls singer’s relationship with Kate Cassidy a sham in bombshell claim
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Liam Payne’s alleged drug dealer, Braian Nahuel Paiz, is back and doubling down on his innocence while spewing some jaw-dropping claims — especially that the singer's relationship with girlfriend Kate Cassidy was fake.
The situation surrounding the late One Direction star’s tragic death has already been messy, and Braian’s latest interviews are only stirring the pot.
Tragic loss of Liam Payne
Liam Payne tragically passed away on October 16 at just 31 years old. He fell from the balcony of his hotel room at CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires.
Reports immediately revealed he was highly intoxicated at the time of his fall—so much so that police say he wasn’t conscious when he hit the ground. They suspect he didn’t fully grasp what he was doing before the accident either.
The incident sparked a major investigation. So far, three people have been charged in connection with Liam’s death, including his friend and manager Rogelio Nores, alleged drug supplier Braian Nahuel Paiz, and a hotel worker. The charges include "abandonment of a person followed by death," as well as accusations of supplying and facilitating narcotics.
Both Rogelio and Braian have denied the allegations.
Liam Payne's alleged drug dealer Braian Nahuel Paiz’s tell-all interview
Earlier this month, Braian Nahuel Paiz spoke with Argentina’s Telefe Noticias about his final moments with Liam Payne. According to Braian, the two spent the night of October 13 together—three days before Liam’s death—and, well, it sounds like things got personal.
Braian said they "consumed drugs because the truth is that something intimate happened.” He described Liam as sweet and caring.
“He wasn’t aggressive at all, he behaved really well with me, he was really sweet," Braian recalled. "He asked me if I was okay. … I told Liam a best friend of mine wanted to meet him because he was a fan. He said ‘yes’ and after I went he appeared outside the place where I lived and managed to get halfway into the building and wanted us to go back to his hotel but I told him I couldn’t because I had to go to work. […] I was due to start at 11.30 am but I had to arrive beforehand. That was the last time I saw him. He got into his taxi and left.”
Fast forward to Braian’s latest interview, and he’s singing a slightly different tune. Speaking to the social media account Misterio de Phoenix (translation via Sebastian Soto), Braian accused Telefe Noticias of twisting his words. He claimed the interview was “edited” and that they “put in words that he never said".
Braian even alleged he was pressured to say things that have now been used against him, though he didn’t specify what those words were.
Braian Nahuel Paiz clarifies 'intimate' moment and missing Rolex mystery
But wait—there’s more. Braian Nahuel Paiz is now trying to clear up one of the most eyebrow-raising parts of his original interview: the “intimate” moment he shared with Liam Payne.
After his first interview aired, people assumed he meant something sexual happened. He literally said Liam was “sweet” and that they “consumed drugs because something intimate happened.” It’s not exactly a leap, Perez Hilton noted.
But Braian insists that’s not what he meant. “It was not sexual,” he clarified in the new interview. He didn’t elaborate, leaving everyone scratching their heads even more.
Another side of the story involves a missing Rolex. Liam was reportedly wearing the luxury watch on the day of his death, but police haven’t been able to locate it. Naturally, some folks have pointed fingers at Braian, but he swears he didn’t take it.
Braian said he would show the watch on camera if he had it on him. He claimed that during their time together, Liam offered to give him clothes—a shirt and pants, specifically—but he declined. He did, however, keep a drawing Liam made for him.
Liam Payne's relationship with Kate Cassidy and alleged use of heavy drugs
Here’s where things take an even messier turn. Braian Nahuel Paiz threw a curveball when he brought up Liam Payne’s girlfriend, Kate Cassidy. He referred to her as Liam’s “alleged girlfriend” and claimed he saw something on Liam’s computer suggesting their relationship wasn’t real.
What exactly did he see? Braian didn’t provide any details, but that’s a pretty bold claim to drop without receipts — especially since Kate has been grieving Liam publicly since his death.
Braian also pushed back on allegations he supplied Liam with hard drugs. He claimed Liam never took anything heavy when they were together, saying they only drank and vaped.
But the toxicology report paints a different picture. It revealed the performer had “traces in his body of a poly-consumption of alcohol, cocaine, and a prescribed antidepressant” before his demise and “during at least his last 72 hours".
When asked if he thought someone was trying to frame him to cover up their own crimes, Braian agreed. He’s adamant about his innocence, saying he has proof he wasn’t involved in Liam’s death, Perez Hilton reported.
