BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA: Days before the tragic death of Liam Payne, his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy left Argentina, and a video of her leaving for Florida has since gone viral. Payne, the former 'One Direction' star, died on October 16, at just 31 after a fatal fall from the third floor of his hotel balcony.

Local law enforcement reported that his body was discovered in the hotel's inner courtyard. The viral video has generated interest, as it provides insights into the reasons for her departure just before the tragedy occurred.

In the wake of Liam Payne's death, several videos featuring him and his girlfriend during their vacation have surfaced online. One notable video, shared by Cassidy on her TikTok account, shows her leaving Argentina without Payne.

In the video posted on Monday, October 14, Cassidy shared that she was "ready to leave" after her time in Argentina with Payne.

She said, "Honestly, I love South America, but I hate staying in one place for too long. We were supposed to be there for, like, five days, but it turned into two weeks."

Notably, she had originally planned to stay for just five days, adding that she felt the need to go home, stating, "I was just like, ‘I need to go home.’"

According to the New York Post, she appeared to depart from Argentina happily, expressing that she was "happy" and relieved to be returning to Florida.

Throughout the video, Cassidy mentioned Payne’s name only once, noting that she had left her squishmallow behind him.

The couple's vacation began earlier this month when they attended a concert for Payne's former One Direction bandmate, Niall Horan. As of October 17, Cassidy had not publicly commented on the death of her boyfriend.

Hours before his death Payne posted several videos from his trip to Argentina that have since circulated online. In one Snapchat video, he said, "Happy I got some time away," while another clip showcased a snapshot with the caption, "Lovely day in Argentina."

The last photo of the couple together was shared just hours before his death, showing them prepared for a day outdoors in swimsuits and hats, embracing in front of a mirror in a throwback from earlier vacation.

The couple began their relationship in October 2022 after Payne ended his romance with Maya Henry. Payne and Cassidy made their red carpet debut together in January 2023.

Notably, he was previously in a relationship with singer Cheryl Cole, with whom he shares a 7-year-old son named Bear.
