Liam Payne's GF Kate Cassidy reveals why she's removing tribute tattoo for late One Direction star
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Liam Payne’s girlfriend Kate Cassidy has revealed that she’s removing one of her tattoos, which she got done in remembrance of the One Direction star.
The 27-year-old got herself inked with multiple tattoos following the untimely death of Payne in October 2024. One of them was the “444” angel number.

However, on Tuesday, July 28, she lasered it off and also shared the reason behind it.
Taking to her now-disappeared Instagram Stories, Cassidy posted a mirror selfie from Skin Club Miami laser studio and wrote, “tattoo removal today.”
The TikTok star also shared a short clip of getting the procedure done as she added, “Decided to get some tattoos removed that were done poorly, will be getting redone eventually.”

Payne was 31 when he died on October 16, 2024, after falling from a third-floor hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His cause of death was listed as polytrauma and internal and external bleeding.
Since the singer’s death, Cassidy has remained single. She and Payne had dated for two years and were also planning to get married.

Following the tragedy, Cassidy shared in her emotional tribute that the ‘Strip That Down’ hitmaker was “the love of my life” and her “best friend.
“I don’t even know where to begin. My heart is shattered in ways I can’t put into words. I wish you could see the huge impact you’ve had on the world, even as it feels so dark right now,” she wrote.
Continuing further, Cassidy had stated how Payne’s death felt unreal: “I can’t wrap my head around this new reality of not having you here. I’m struggling to figure out how to live in a world without you by my side. Together, we got to be kids again, always finding joy in the smallest things.”

The heartbroken girlfriend had added, “Liam, you had the kindest soul and the most fun-loving spirit. It feels like I’ve lost the best part of myself. I can’t imagine a day without your laughter and love. You brought so much light into my life.”
In her tribute, Cassidy also revealed that Payne had made a wish to marry her.
“I keep your note close, even though you told me not to look at it. It said, ‘Me and Kate to marry within a year/engaged & together forever 444.’ Liam, I know we’ll be together forever, but not in the way we had planned. You’ll always be with me. I’ve gained a guardian angel,” she shared.
