"My heart is shattered in ways I can't put into words," she wrote.
Reflecting on the late singer's ability to bring happiness and positivity to everyone around him, Cassidy said, "I wish you could see the impact you've had on the world, even as it feels so dark right now."
“You brought so much happiness and positivity to everyone — millions of fans, your family, friends, and especially me,” she continued.
“None of this feels real, and I can't wrap my head around this new reality of not having you here,” Cassidy added.

Kate Cassidy revealed that in the weeks leading up to Liam Payne's death that she and the 'Teardrops' singer were focused on their future, envisioning a life together.
She disclosed that Payne had written her a touching note, expressing his desire for the two to be married within a year.
“We sat outside on a beautiful evening manifesting our lives together,” she wrote, adding that his note said, “Me and Kate to marry within a year/engaged & together forever 444.”
The number 444, which carries spiritual significance, became a symbol of their connection. It is widely believed to represent love, support, and guidance from guardian angels.
“I know we'll be together forever, but not in the way we had planned. I've gained a guardian angel,” she reflected.
