WASHINGTON, DC: Sen Lindsey Graham (R-SC) referred to his colleague, GOP Sen Tommy Tuberville (R-Al), as an outlier within the party for the latter's stance on Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukraine, reported CBS News.

Graham made the remarks on the Sunday, June 9 episode of 'Face the Nation', where he also noted the importance of the United States to stand by Ukraine and defeat Russia.

Sen Tommy Tuberville's stance on Ukraine and Russia

During a recent interview on Steve Bannon's podcast 'War Room', Tuberville reportedly claimed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to be a 'dictator' instead of a 'constitutional president'. He opposed the US aiding Zelenskyy's fight against Russia and downplayed his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin's intentions in Ukraine.

"He doesn't want Ukraine, he doesn't want Europe," Tuberville said of Putin. "He's got enough land of his own. He just wants to make sure that he does not have United States weapons in Ukraine pointing at Moscow."

Sen Lindsey Graham's response to Tommy Tuberville

"Sen. Tuberville's analysis really misses what Putin is all about. He's an outlier, I think, in the Republican Party. I like him personally," shared Sen Graham on Sunday.

"If you spent 15 minutes studying Putin and what he wants, he wants to recreate the Russian Empire. He's not gonna stop in Ukraine," he proceeded to explain. "It's not about NATO, it's not about American weapons in Ukraine, it's about a megalomaniac wanting to create the Russian Empire by force of arms. If you don't stop him, there goes Taiwan."

Graham further backed the United States training Ukrainian forces inside of Ukraine, as requested by Zelenskyy, adding, "It's now time to give them the F-16s, let them fly the planes, long-range artillery to hit targets inside of Russia."

Sen Lindsey Graham on Ukraine's resources

To highlight the necessity of Ukraine managing to defeat Russia, Graham stated, "They (Ukrainian officials) are sitting on 10 to 12 trillion dollars of critical minerals in Ukraine. They could be the richest country in all of Europe."

"I don't want to give that money and those assets to Putin to share with China," he continued. "If we help Ukraine now, they can become the best business partner we ever dreamed of."

Internet slams Sen Lindsey Graham for his comments on Ukraine's resources

"As an American…this is literally none of your f**king business," wrote a user on X responding to the GOP Senator's comments.

"Be gone warmonger," slammed another.

"So this war really isn't about defending democracy," noted one user.

"Find a girl in life that loves you as much as Lindsey Graham loves depopulating Ukraine," mocked another user.

"How disgusting are you? human life means nothing to you? To you it’s profit to others is their life," stated a user.
