'Livid' FBI's Dan Bongino considers resignation after clash with Pam Bondi over Epstein files: Source

WASHINGTON, DC: FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino is reportedly considering stepping down amid growing frustration with Attorney General Pam Bondi over the Justice Department’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case.
According to a source who spoke with Fox News, Bongino took a day off and has not been seen at FBI headquarters since a heated confrontation with Bondi at the White House on Wednesday.
Despite the tension, sources close to the administration say both Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel remain aligned and have no plans to resign.

Kash Patel and Dan Bongino frustrated with Pam Bondi over Epstein case
Tensions are reportedly running high within the FBI as fallout continues over Attorney General Pam Bondi’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case.
According to MAGA activist Laura Loomer, who maintains close ties to President Donald Trump, both FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy Director Dan Bongino are outraged by what they view as Bondi’s mishandling of key files and lack of transparency.

In a fiery social media post on Friday morning, Loomer claimed, "[Patel and Bongino] are LIVID with [Bondi] over her DOJ Memo and the lack of transparency from her office regarding the Jeffrey Epstein files."
She also revealed that Bongino had taken a day off from his FBI duties, sparking speculation that he may be considering resignation in protest.
The controversy stems largely from Bondi’s earlier assertion that she had an Epstein “client list” in her possession, a claim that ignited widespread speculation and conspiracy theories. That anticipation was further fueled by Patel, Bongino, and Vice President JD Vance, all of whom hinted at explosive disclosures that ultimately never came to light.

Source tells me Dan Bongino is taking the day off today from his job as Deputy Director of the FBI, and there’s…
A joint DOJ-FBI memo released this week shut down those rumors, confirming that no such list exists. The memo sparked renewed backlash from Loomer, who unleashed sharp criticism of Bondi. She accused the attorney general of misleading the public and embarrassing key Trump allies.
“Pam Blondi has brought total embarrassment to President Trump, @JDVance, @dbongino and @Kash_Patel,” Loomer posted. “She has also LIED to the American people. I’m told Kash and Bongino are furious with Blondi and the blowback she has caused them with her lack of transparency. Kash Patel and Dan Bongino should call for Blondi’s public resignation today to save themselves and to also push for full transparency into the Epstein files. This is an issue the American people care deeply about.”

Loomer didn’t stop there. In a follow-up post, she called for Trump to remove Bondi from office immediately. “Giving Blondi courtesy to resign is more than she deserves. Trump should just FIRE her,” she wrote, escalating the political pressure surrounding the case.
Pam Bondi and Kash Patel have no plans to resign amid FBI turmoil

The latest development about Dan Bongino's consideration of resignation comes in the wake of a heated argument between him and Attorney General Pam Bondi at the White House on Wednesday, July 9, according to two sources who spoke with Fox News.
Despite the clash, Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel have reportedly maintained regular communication in recent days and remain aligned in their approach.
Sources close to Bondi say she has no intention of resigning and remains confident in the Justice Department's work. Similarly, a source close to Patel confirmed he is content in his role and has no plans to step down.
“President Trump has assembled a highly qualified and experienced law and order team dedicated to protecting Americans, holding criminals accountable, and delivering justice to victims. This work is being carried out seamlessly and with unity,” White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Harrison Fields told Fox News Digital. "Any attempt to sow division within this team is baseless and distracts from the real progress being made in restoring public safety and pursuing justice for all."
