WASHINGTON, DC: When pop superstar Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce confirmed their blossoming romance last month, it sparked joy among fans. But in the fringe world of hardcore Trump supporters, the celebrity power couple's relationship set off alarm bells and waves of paranoia, as per MediasTouch.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's fanbase is 'lethal combination' in battleground states

Ever since pop megastar Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce confirmed their relationship last month, fringe right-wing figures have claimed the celebrity power couple is part of an elaborate ploy by Democrats to influence the 2024 election.

While the assertions may seem far-fetched to some, in the aftermath of Swift's high-profile political activism in recent years, the theory has gained surprising traction among hardcore Trump supporters convinced the singer will again rally her fanbase against Republican candidates.

With Kelce's popularity in the Midwest, conspiracists fear the stars could prove a "lethal combination" in battleground states.

Charlie Kirk alleges Creative Arts Agency orchestrated Swift-Kelce romance

"It's totally a conspiracy," said talk show host Charlie Kirk on his podcast. "Kelce is an op. Swift is an op. I'm supposed to believe the love story just in time for 2024? I don't buy it."

Kirk speculated agents at Creative Arts Agency (CAA), which represents both Swift and Kelce, orchestrated the relationship.

"Somebody at CAA said, 'I see it. Middle America MAGA country likes their football, their beer...let's put them together,'" he claimed.

Other prominent right-wing figures echoed Kirk's suspicion of coordination with Democratic operatives to weaponize the stars' fame against conservatives.

"This is a psychological operation on the part of the Left and the media," said Evita Duffy, a writer at The Federalist, on Jack Posobiec's podcast. "Once the election rolls around, Swift is going to go all-in for Biden."

Internet rejects MAGA conspiracy invloving Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce

Reactions to this new MAGA conspiracy theory invloving Swift and Kelce from internet commentators have been overwhelmingly dismissive.

"MAGA don't believe in love," wrote one X user. "They are just isolating themselves even more. With every conspiracy theory, it's like they love living in a fantasy world. It excites them and pumps dopamine, IMO," said another.

"OMG! Seriously? Is everything a conspiracy theory for the Republicans? Can’t Taylor and Kelce just meet and fall in love, like you or I?" asked one comment.

Another user argued the continuous flow of conspiracies indicates hardcore Trump supporters have completely lost credibility, saying, "Everything with them is a conspiracy, except the facts sitting in front of their face. At this point, they are a lost cause & not worth the effort."

"MAGA really are the dumbest people on earth! They really outdid themselves with this one," a fifth user wrote.
