Lynette Hooker’s daughter slams stepfather Brian after he leaves Bahamas: 'Not a man of his word'
FREEPORT, BAHAMAS: Lynette Hooker’s daughter, Karli Aylesworth, has arrived in the Bahamas on Thursday, April 16, to search for her missing mother, while slamming her stepfather for "not much of a man of his word" after he suddenly left the country.
Following her mother, Lynette Hooker's disappearance from a dinghy on April 4, Karli is now leading her own investigation to find out what really happened in the island waters.

Karli Aylesworth outraged by stepfather’s sudden exit
Karli Aylesworth did not hold back her anger when her stepfather, Brian Hooker, left the Bahamas just one day after crying on camera and promising to find his wife.
After being released from police custody without charges, Hooker claimed he needed to return home to care for his sick mother.
Karli, who has known him since she was a child, sees this as a sign of his true nature. “I think it shows his character. He somehow lost my mom at sea and cries on camera saying he’ll never stop searching, then leaves the next day,” Aylesworth told the New York Post.
While Brian’s lawyer said he went home to be with his terminally ill mother, who has kidney failure, Karli’s family believes the timing was just a way to "get out of Dodge."
A relative noted that while Brian gets to see his dying mother, Karli does not get that same chance with Lynette.
Karli Aylesworth arrives in Bahamas to find answers
Karli and her boyfriend, Steve Hansen, landed at the airport in Marsh Harbour to start their own investigation.
They were seen talking to police before taking a taxi to begin retracing the route Lynette and Brian took between Hope Town and Abaco Island.
Karli has stated clearly that she does not believe Brian’s story about how her mother went missing. “My sole concern is to find out what happened to my mother and make sure a full and complete investigation is performed into her disappearance,” she told CBS.
Family recalls history of alleged abuse
Although the couple had tried to stay sober, relatives say they started drinking again about a year ago, which led to a "gut feeling" that something terrible would eventually happen.
“Part of us knew that he was probably going to keep hurting her physically and emotionally, because we know he belittles her and talks s**t and all that stuff, especially when he’s drinking,” a relative shared.
When asked if Aylesworth plans to ever talk to her stepdad again, the relative shared that Karli “with the information she has and her gut feelings, it’s a definite no, as of right now.”
