Lauryn 'Pumpkin' Efird says she was unhappy with how late Anna 'Chickadee' Cardwell handled cancer
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Mama June’s third daughter Lauryn "Pumpkin" Efird was reportedly worried for her elder sister, Anna "Chickadee" Cardwell, before she lost her life to cancer.
Anna was 29 when she died on December 9, 2023, due to adrenal cancer.

‘Mama June: Family Crisis’ latest season shows Anna 'Chickadee' Cardwell’s struggles
The latest season of ‘Mama June: Family Crisis’ featured the last few days of Anna before her death as a teaser for a recent episode showing Lauryn bringing lasagna for her, OK! Magazine reported.
However, the late mother-of-two showed little interest in the dish, expressing that she was "feeling a little nauseous," attributing it to the effectiveness of her chemotherapy treatment.
She further shared, “They say I don’t really have any more spots on my lungs. My kidney is a little swollen. The tumor on my kidneys has grown a little bit, but they said that could be cause it’s dying.”
Anna also mentioned that she would “eat more greens and fruits” but Lauryn interrupted her and asked her to "indulge" in whatever she likes sometimes.
Anna 'Chickadee' Cardwell believed she would get fine
However, their mother Mama June strongly disagreed. Anna reassured her, saying, "I’ll be alright. We're all just going with the flow. That’s what we’re doing. We're dealing with the cards we've been dealt with."
Following that, Lauryn reportedly became upset, expressing, "We need to know all these things, you know what I’m saying. There’s a lot of other stuff besides the cancer stuff that needs to be in order that’s not in order at all."
Mama June agreed with her, chiming in, "I get it. Like, they’re doctors. But I don’t understand it either."
Anna 'Chickadee' Cardwell died after ‘hell of a fight’
This occurred months after the matriarch released a heartbreaking statement announcing Anna’s passing.
She said, “With the breaking heart, we are announcing that @annamarie35 is no longer with us. She passed away in my home last night peacefully at 11:12 PM.”
“She gave one hell of a fight for 10 months she passed away with her family around her like she won’t and we will be updating y’all with more information as we get it today,” the 44-year-old added.
