WASHINGTON, DC: Republican chairmen leading the impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden are threatening to hold his son, Hunter Biden, in contempt if he fails to appear for a closed-door deposition at the Capitol on December 13, as reported by CBS News.

It was also reported that Hunter's offer to publicly testify instead has been rejected.

Following this kerfuffle about a closed-door deposition and a public testimony, Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share her remarks on the same.

Greene, who has often shown her support for former President Donald Trump, took this opportunity to draw comparisons between “Trump’s own children” and Hunter.

Marjorie Taylor Greene drags Joe Biden's 'crime family’

On X, Marjorie Taylor Greene wrote, “President Trump’s own children were subjected to hours of depositions over a total Democrat witch hunt.”

She added, “Democrats used depositions constantly as a means of political persecution. The difference this time is Republicans have mountains of real, tangible evidence on the Biden Crime Family.”

“A public hearing will follow, but the deposition of Hunter Biden is important to ask questions that will further expose even more evidence of Biden family corruption,” concluded Greene.

This post from Greene came after Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social about the same.

Trump spoke about how the “radical left democrats in Congress” had subpoenaed his “completely innocent family.” Trump also stated that Hunter Biden “should be treated in the same manner.”

Majorie Taylor Greene trolled on X

After Marjorie Taylor Greene drew comparisons between Donald Trump’s children and Hunter Biden, the internet was quick to respond to the congresswoman.

One user wrote, “Fact Checking...CONCLUSION: Donald Trump broke the law. Marjorie Taylor Greene doesn't like the fact that Trump was charged for breaking the law. That's... that's too bad. Fact Check Completed.”

“You hope that it exposes some sort of evidence to match your baseless claims. You know this deposition is going to be nothing more than a bunch of GOPs yelling at him and twisting his answers the whole time!” wrote one user, and another said, “Marge be lying again.”

One user simply wrote, “Lies,” and another mocked, “Boo-Hoo Madge Boo-Hoo.”

Greene continued being trolled on the social media platform as one user shared a gif, labeled, “Gaslighting.”
