WHITFIELD COUNTY, GEORGIA: Georgia Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene claimed during a recent interview with conspiracy theorist and InfoWars owner Alex Jones that Dominion Voting Systems machines were "switching" votes from Republican to Democratic candidates in her district.

Following Donald Trump's 2020 election loss, many of his supporters made similar false claims, which contributed to Dominion winning $787 million from Fox News in a mammoth defamation lawsuit.

Marjorie Taylor Greene raises alarms over a GOP voter's claim of switched ballots in Whitfield County

In her interview on Friday, October 18, Marjorie Taylor Greene referenced a social media post from a GOP voter who claimed their early vote for her and Donald Trump was switched to Democrats after reviewing a printed ballot.

She explained, "So, Whitfield County, someone posted up that when they went to vote in Whitfield County here in Georgia’s 14th district – now remember, we’re a swing state and we need everyone to vote in my district – and so they went to vote, and we have the Dominion machines."

Greene went on to detail the voting process, "And you mark – you go through and you mark president, you mark, you know for Congress – that would be me. You vote – and they marked Donald Trump, and they marked who they were voting for the rest of the way down their ballot on the machine."

However, as per the Congresswoman, when the voter reviewed their printed ballot "it had changed. It was not Donald Trump, it was not me, and it was not the other ones they had voted for. It had switched."

"It kept on switching the votes. And so, this is something we are just starting to look into today because I just found out about it this morning before I came on your show today," claimed the 50-year-old.

Greene expressed her intent to follow up with local officials, saying, "I will be talking to election workers and officials here in the district in making sure that these ballots are correct because that’s extremely concerning. It sounds similar to what we heard in 2020."

Marjorie Taylor Greene concerned over unaddressed election infrastructure in battleground states

Marjorie Taylor Greene went on to voice concern that battleground states that had not "fixed" their election infrastructures could unfairly flip the election to Vice President Kamala Harris.

The Georgia Republican has a long history of spreading conspiracy theories, suggesting everything from the US government being behind mass shootings to claiming hurricanes are products of deep-state weather control.

After the 2020 election, Trump and numerous Republicans claimed he had actually won but that Dominion and other alleged nefarious actors stole the election from him.

Trump has already begun to suggest that the 2024 election could also be rigged against him. His false claims played a role in the January 6 Capitol Hill attack, according to many who were prosecuted for the riot.
