WASHINGTON, DC: President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden made an appearance on Capitol Hill on December 13.

However, this was not to comply with his subpoena and be deposed at the House Oversight Committee, but instead to hold a press conference and again offer to testify publicly, reported Fox News as the events unfolded.

Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene was also present at Capitol Hill at the time, as she expressed her frustration over Hunter, in person and on social media.

Greene claimed that Hunter “decided to play circus outside the Capitol this morning,” but the internet was not on the same page as the Congresswoman.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene wrote, “Rather than follow the lawful subpoena for a deposition issued by Chairman @RepJamesComer, Hunter Biden decided to play circus outside the Capitol this morning.”

She continued, “President Trump’s own children sat for hours of depositions after being subpoenaed countless times by the Democrats. We must immediately move forward to hold Hunter in contempt of Congress.”

Greene also shared a video of herself talking to the press at Capitol Hill, where she said, “We’re moving forward to follow the process for contempt of Congress, which absolutely should be done.”

She added, “Hunter Biden refusing to show up today is unacceptable.” Greene also spoke about “President Trump’s children” in her conversation with the press and questioned, “Why is there a double standard for the Biden family?”

“Hunter Biden is clearly trying to hide the money laundering and abuse of power that he and his father are guilty of,” expressed Greene as she addressed the absence of Hunter at the closed-door deposition.

Internet slams Marjorie Taylor Greene

After Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene shared her thoughts on Hunter Biden, and the lack of him at the deposition, the internet was quick to respond.

One user wrote, “You are so ignorant it's embarrassing,” and another said, “Omg Marjorie, AS SOON you started talking…@RepJamesComer stopped that press conference. We all saw it. Republicans are done with you and you’ve done nothing but make this entire situation worse for them. Just stop.”

"Blue 2024” expressed one user amid the kerfuffle, and another wrote, “Republicans are weak.”

Greene continued to receive a negative response online as one user wrote, “You play circus outside the Capitol all the time...” and another wrote, “Why MargieQ, did it interfere I with your circus outside the Capitol?”
