WASHINGTON, DC: Mark Hamill did not miss the chance to make fun of Donald Trump as he delivered a speech at the Libertarian Party’s national convention on Saturday, May 25.

“Now I think you should nominate me or at least vote for me, and we should win together. Because the Libertarians want to vote for me … and it’s very important because we have to get rid of the worst president in history,” he said despite the continued booing from the crowd, CNN reported.

He added, "Only do that if you want to win; if you want to lose, don’t do that. Keep getting your 3% every four years.”

However, one part of the speech, which was “Don’t allow the worst president in the history of our country to come back and do the final destruction of America,” especially cracked the 72-year-old actor, HuffPost reported.

Trump appeared to refer to President Joe Biden in that sentence. But since he did not name anyone, Hamill tried to imply that Trump was talking about himself, in his attack on X.

The ‘Return of the Jedi’ star, who has been quite vocal of his criticism of Trump and support for Biden, posted on the micro-blogging site, “The Self-Own Is Strong With This One!”

Internet reacts as Mark Hamill mocks Donald Trump

Hamill’s tweet received a variety of reactions online with an individual commenting, “The farce is strong with him.”

Another one remarked, “Self-fulfilling prophecy.”

“Become ungovern🅰️ble. With the anarchy sign. I can't breathe from rofl,” the third one wrote.

The fourth one stated, “I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of Libertarian voices suddenly cried out in disdain, and the Orange Guy was suddenly silenced.”

“Trump was appropriately booed and applauded when he said things that libertarians agreed or disagreed with. A refreshing change from the echo chambers the big candidates hang out in. Biden should try it,” the fifth one stated.

A user tweeted, “Mark still thinks the Democrat nominee is going to be Biden.”

Another posted a photo with the caption, "This going to be so amazing when Trump wins reelection, show right beside this picture."

One user asked Hamill, “Why do you keep ruining the one thing you were good for by mixing it with politics?”

“You are the absolute worst, stick to making crappy films, politics is too complicated for a simple man like you,” a critic of the actor said.

Another one added, "I would stop talking. You look all used up and you’ve just about ruined the whole Star Wars franchise with your disturbing lack of good judgment. For God's sake, just shut up! So disappointing."

A more serious tweet read, "You don’t have to like Trump but he is absolutely correct. What has the current administration done during the last three plus years? The border is a mess, with millions of unvetted migrants injected into the United States. There is no doubt that our adversaries are capitalizing on our porous border and probing defenses for vulnerabilities. The economy is a mess, with people living paycheck to paycheck. The world is a mess with wars on different fronts. The USA no longer has the respect on the world stage. Seriously, explain why you are voting for four more years of this mess. Stay safe, God Bless."
