Martha Stewart talks to Jimmy Fallon about knowing Leonard Bernstein
The evening kicked off with Stewart and Fallon talking about the late composer Leonard Bernstein after the host asked if she had met Cooper, who was the other guest on 'The Tonight Show'.
Fallon said, "Did you say hi to Bradley?" to which Stewart replied, "I did. I took a picture with him."
"You did?" asked the late-night host, and the TV personality responded, "Yeah. And he looks...I watched the movie."
At this point, Fallon interjected, saying, "Well, you knew Leonard Bernstein."
Martha noted, "I knew the real Lenny. He lived in Fairfield on the weekends, and he also lived right here in New York. And I visited his apartment, and we used to go on Sunday afternoons for tea. And his kids lived in Westport."
Subsequently, the host wanted to know what the maestro was like, and Stewart recalled he was fantastic.
She then quipped, "He might have been a little handsomer than...Than Bradley Cooper," prompting laughter from the audience.
Martha Stewart remembers when Snoop Dogg's bodyguards ate all the food at one of her dinner parties
The conversation effortlessly transitioned to Stewart's extravagant dinner parties.
She noted, "I go to a lot of dinner parties, and I go but I do have a lot of dinner parties, too I live in Bedford and Bedford is like Beverly Hills. They're fun. They're fun. I had Michael Kelly over, and I was a little scared of him because he's played pretty evil guys, you know?"
The late-night host then complimented how fun she was at the parties, as told by some of her guests.
This led her to share an amusing incident involving Snoop Dogg.
Stewart remembered, "He came with seven bodyguards called Teeny and Tiny, and they're all about seven feet tall. And they ate everything and left nothing for the rest of the guests."
She added, "I had to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for my friends," but also noted that Snoop Dogg is like her "little brother."
Fallon then prodded Stewart about her Amazon collaboration, 'The World of Martha.' Passionate about home essentials, she expressed her enthusiasm for providing quality housewares and gadgets.
As a gesture, she gifted Fallon a pot from her collection, and the host humorously drew parallels between receiving a pot from Snoop Dogg, hinting at marijuana, and an actual kitchen pot from Stewart.
