LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Meghan Markle is facing trolling after she turned heads at the George Zajfen Tennis Tournament in Los Angeles on Saturday, showcasing a look valued at $40,909.

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, opted for a sleek, sleeveless halter-neck 'Edda' dress from the Italian luxury brand Giuliva Heritage, priced at $1850, as reported by The Daily Mail.

To complement her dress, Meghan carried a $958 brown satchel handbag from Caroline Herrera and wore matching $819 heels by Aquazzura. Her accessories included classic $121 Ray-Ban aviator sunglasses and her signature Cartier jewelry - a $28,297 gold tank Française watch and a $9,320 'Love' yellow gold bracelet.

Her hair was styled in loose curls, and her makeup highlighted her sun-kissed Californian complexion, adding to her effortlessly elegant appearance.

The tennis tournament, organized in memory of Kelly McKee Zajfen's late son George, supported the Alliance for Children's Rights, an organization that aids pregnant and parenting teens in the Los Angeles foster care system. George, who died in July 2022 at the age of nine, was honored at the event.

Meghan’s close friendship with Zajfen was evident, as she supported her friend through a challenging time. The Duchess and Duke of Sussex, who attended the event together, were seen in a heartfelt Instagram post from the Zajfen family. The message celebrated Prince Harry's 40th birthday and expressed gratitude for the support they received.

Other notable attendees included 'Property Brothers' star Jonathan Scott, actress Zooey Deschanel, actor Zach Braff, and Meghan's former 'Suits' co-star Abigail Spencer. The tournament featured a round-robin doubles competition and a lunch, raising funds to support children in foster care.

Speculation has emerged that Meghan and Prince Harry might be dealing with financial difficulties. An insider told the outlet that Meghan is allegedly worried about maintaining their opulent lifestyle in California.

On Sunday, Sep 15, 2024, Harry celebrated his 40th birthday with Meghan and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Prince William and Kate Middleton acknowledged Harry’s milestone with a social media post wishing him a happy 40th birthday, marking a moment of familial goodwill amid their rift.

Meghan Markle's wardrobe choice at LA tennis tournament creates buzz

Meghan Markle's wardrobe choice at the George Zajfen Tennis Tournament in LA has sparked a range of reactions online.

One commenter wrote, “Oh the colourful clothes are out again. I actually wouldn’t pick that dress up if I saw it in a charity store? Talking of charity, the tennis was for charity , so I see Megan read the room and didn’t flaunt her wealth (in an £1100 sack)", while another pointed out, "I have seen many, many people look much better in far less expensive outfits. Expense does not equal style or class."

Another user wrote, "Certainly not "effortlessly" and/or "elegant". The actress puts a lot of effort into soliciting designer duds. The mystery is why high end designers supply her when she is unable to do their designs credit."

"Don't like the dress - it's shapeless. Not sure if anyone would look really good in it as the lack of sleeves just emphasises the lack of shape," a user said.

Another critique wrote, "Her clothes, never look right on her or never fit her right. word on the street is she borrows them and that there’s only a few of the pieces. She then return them so that the stores will say everything she wears is sold out."

One wrote, "Megan complained she couldn’t wear certain colors when she was in the UK, yet now only wears neutral colors."
