WASHINGTON, DC: Meghan McCain publicly urged the Trump administration to rethink using Senator Lindsey Graham as one of its public surrogates after his fiery remarks about Iran during a Fox News interview.
The comments came during Graham’s appearance on Fox News with host Maria Bartiromo, where he spoke about possible future military action.

Lindsey Graham hints at possible US military action against Iran
“You just wait to see what comes the next two weeks,” Graham told Bartiromo, leaving viewers wondering what he was referring to.
When Bartiromo pressed him to explain further, Graham dropped any diplomatic tone and spoke bluntly about potential military action.
“We're going to blow the hell out of these people,” he said, appearing to refer to Iran and its allies.
Meghan McCain calls on Trump administration to stop using Lindsey Graham as surrogate
Meghan McCain, daughter of the late Senator John McCain, responded directly to Graham’s remarks and expressed worry about the impact of his words.
In a message addressed to the Trump administration, she asked officials to reconsider allowing Graham to represent the administration publicly on such sensitive issues.
“I've known Lindsey Graham since I was a child. I am imploring anyone who will listen in the Trump administration to stop sending this man out as a surrogate. He is scaring people and doing damage to whatever message you’re trying to sell to the American public about the Iran war,” McCain tweeted.

Meghan McCain warns Lindsey Graham’s rhetoric could hurt public support
McCain’s reaction suggests that concern is growing even within Republican circles about how the conflict with Iran is being discussed publicly.
While many conservatives have supported a tougher stance on Iran, McCain indicated that the way the message is delivered also matters.
Her comments pointed to the possibility that aggressive language could undermine attempts to build public support for military action.
