Melania shares her thoughts on Trump’s YMCA dance move

Melania Trump consistently maintains her poise when speaking about her husband, Donald Trump, and this occasion was no exception.

During her appearance on FOX News’ 'The Five' on Wednesday, January 28, Melania was discussing her upcoming documentary release when she was asked by Jesse Watters, "When he's doing the YMCA, he says you don't like it. How do you feel?"

Melania chuckled slightly and said, "When he's doing the YMCA, he says, you don't like it. How do you feel? I like it at certain times. Okay, some days were not appropriate; I told him so, but it's his dance. And I think people love it. People in all parts around the world, they dancing, and it's a great atmosphere when he does."

"So brings happiness and fun as well as seriousness, as you need to be as well. So I, I think he's, uh, doing just fine."

She was then asked if she had ever danced herself, "You've never done the why, have you?" To which Melania smiled and replied, "I did, you did. It's different than his."

Trump’s famous YMCA moves

Donald Trump is well known for his playful YMCA dance, a signature move that has drawn public attention. The dance originates from the 1978 hit song 'YMCA' by the disco group Village People, which became famous for its catchy chorus and iconic arm movements spelling out Y-M-C-A.

Trump has performed the dance at rallies, events, and informal gatherings, often drawing smiles and cheerful reactions from crowds. While some see it as light-hearted fun, others consider it unusual for a president. Regardless, the iconic dance remains a memorable part of Trump’s public persona.
