For the night, Melania chose a pale delphinium pink silk strapless gown from Christian Dior haute couture, designed by the luxury house’s Northern Irish-born creative director, Jonathan Anderson.

The sculpted silhouette underscored her signature sleek style, while the strapless neckline injected a modern, minimalist edge into the traditional white-tie dress code, turning heads at the formal affair.

Her evening ensemble was accessorised by off-white Dior suede gloves and Dior pale delphinium pink pumps. Her husband, for his part, wore a classic black tuxedo with a white waistcoat.

Melania was better complimented by Queen Camilla, who wore a long-sleeved hot pink Fiona Clare evening dress with a small clutch purse.

Her accessory of choice was reportedly a diamond necklace that had been gifted by a former Duchess of Kent to Queen Victoria and was then passed to Queen Mary.

Melania Trump likened to Jackie Kennedy

Fans were left astonished by Melania’s elegant ensemble, with many likening her look to that of Jackie Kennedy. The former first lady wore a similar pink gown as she graced a dinner honoring the Minister of State for Cultural Affairs of France.

Her strapless A-line gown and white opera gloves were standard choices for the first lady, but her hairstyle strayed slightly from her signature simple bouffant; instead, the front of her hair was tied back using a bold accessory.

Also, many people on social media praised the first lady's look.

“Pretty” is an understatement she looks like a Greek Goddess. Stunning,” one said.

“Melania Trump and Jackie Kennedy were the most beautiful first ladies in the history of America by a country mile!” another fan praised.

“Those two First Ladies, Melania Trump and Jackie Kennedy - the most elegant, beautiful, poised,, and graceful in history,” a third one complimented.

Others also heaped praise on the ensemble as one wrote, “She’s Always the Most Beautiful and the Classiest of all the First Ladies…. Ever!!!”

"OMFG! Melania Trump might be the most beautiful woman at her age. How insanely good her dress taste is is also another topic. Looking at Melania’s picture makes me feel like I am looking at a real angel from heaven," another one complimented.
