White House reveals Trump commemorative passport design
The new passport design integrates a portrait of Trump on an internal page, where he is depicted alongside the American flag and the text of the Declaration of Independence.
A notable feature of this rendition is the inclusion of the president’s signature, written in gold.
Beyond the internal imagery, the exterior of the passport has been subtly modified, with the "United States of America" text enlarged at the top of the front cover.
The back cover pays homage to history with a 1777-style flag featuring 13 stars surrounding the number "250."
Trump commemorative passports to be issued via Washington agency
While the administration has confirmed these passports will be available to "any American citizen" who applies during the rollout, they will be distributed exclusively through the Washington Passport Agency.
This limited release is expected to coincide with the official kickoff of the anniversary festivities.
"President Trump's new patriotic passport design provides yet another great way Americans can join in the spectacular celebrations for America's 250th birthday," a spokesperson for the White House told the BBC.
"Between the UFC250 Fight, the Great American State Fair, Freedom250 Grand Prix, and this new passport celebrating our freedom, President Trump continues to proudly lead a renewal of national pride and patriotism during our historic semiquincentennial celebration," the White House added.
National Mall to host ‘Great American State Fair’ for US 250th
The passport launch is positioned as a key element of a broader series of national events planned for the summer of 2026.
From June 25 to July 10, the National Mall in Washington, DC, will transform into the "Great American State Fair," featuring state pavilions and a Ferris wheel.
These festivities aim to highlight various milestones in American history through large-scale public displays.
An Interior Department spokesperson told Fox News Digital, "Under President Donald J Trump, America’s 250th birthday will be marked by a once-in-a-lifetime celebration that encapsulates the American spirit, including a spectacular fireworks display at Mount Rushmore that honors our history at the monument that symbolizes those who built it."
