AMERICA’S CHRISTMAS
This Christmas, let’s celebrate the love we hold within ourselves and share it with the world around us. After all, wherever we are, we can create a home filled with endless possibilities. pic.twitter.com/VouZAtLpHU
WASHINGTON, DC: First lady Melania Trump took to social media platform X to share a short clip unveiling the White House Christmas decorations for 2025. She revealed the festive decor while wearing one of winter’s most coveted pieces, a 2010s Burberry military coat inspired by historical military uniforms.

Melania Trump showcased her months of design work and planning as she walked through rooms of the White House in the one-minute clip. She wore a navy wool double-breasted military coat from Burberry, featuring embossed gold buttons and a pleated back with a martingale.
She paired the coat with a dark turtleneck and skirt, along with thigh-high suede Christian Louboutin boots suited for winter.
The military jacket, a staple of Trump’s White House wardrobe, marks its return to the broader fashion landscape after a long run in the 2010s, largely influenced by Balmain’s Spring/Summer 2009 collection.
She captioned her post, "Home Is Where the Heart Is AMERICA’S CHRISTMAS. This Christmas, let’s celebrate the love we hold within ourselves and share it with the world around us. After all, wherever we are, we can create a home filled with endless possibilities."
The video featured several decorated Christmas trees placed throughout the White House. A portrait of President Donald Trump was also prominently highlighted in the clip.
For a change, as the East Wing undergoes reconstruction, the official White House Christmas tree, traditionally displayed in the Blue Room and dedicated to Gold Star families, continues to honor those who lost a loved one during active-duty military service. Typically, the Gold Star tribute tree was located in the East Wing.
The decor also nods to next year’s 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776 and the founding of the United States.
A statement issued by the White House mentioned that Christmas is a time to celebrate what makes the US exceptional, and that while every home has its own traditions, shared values unite Americans.
"In every community, we are lifted by simple acts of kindness that reflect the enduring American spirit of generosity, patriotism, and gratitude. These moments remind us that the heart of America is strong and that Home Is Where The Heart Is," the statement read.
Michigan-grown Christmas tree arrives at WH as Melania kicks off season
On November 24, Melania Trump stepped out of the presidential residence to receive this year’s White House Christmas tree, marking the official start of the holiday season. The tree was delivered by Michigan-based Korson’s Tree Farms.
Korson’s Tree Farms won the 2025 Grand Champion Grower title from the National Christmas Tree Association in July 2025. It is the first Michigan farm to earn the honor since 1985, according to a press release. For nearly 60 years, the winner of the annual contest has provided the White House’s official Christmas tree, selected in September by Dale Haney, the White House superintendent of grounds.

In 2017, Melania chose a traditional decor style during her first year as first lady. The following year, however, she made a much bolder statement with 40 blood-red, cone-shaped Christmas trees, which she dubbed “American Treasures.”
